It's now a cheery Friday...as I've just clocked off at 23:20. Time for a dram...some Jura kindly sent by a customer for fixing their networks. Gotta love free whisky eh? : )

Re: Are you analogue?

My work is 100% digital. At play it's a mashup.
I'll read maps at home but use GPS in the field.
No eeb...just a bunch of analogue bikes...and I'll take XTR cabled gears over electric all day, every day.
My oscillator modules are analogue...but I sequence in digital realm.

Have you tried switching it off and back on again? ; ) Too much Guinness, Sir? *grins* In all honesty...it's more likely your device and its updates munging things than the website code. Reboot it. Browser caches also suck - as per PaulB2's comment, dump your caches; I say dump them often. Oh yeah -...

The Basin is a beautiful ride...when it's dry and the wind is in your favour.
The Basin with mud would be testing.

Plenty of good cycling in that area. I lived in the Corvedale for a while. Many nights spent up on Brown Clee as well as Long Mynd...both within easy reach of Ludlow.

@ fatbikephil - +1 for ND. Short 'n sweet.

They can play what they want when I go...I won't be around to hear it. I wouldn't subject them to Pulse Demon or Space Metalizer...they'd want to die too. ; )

Another happy Joystick owner....Mk7, Mk10 and Mk12. One on the bars, one on the helmet and if out for a few days, one as backup. Mk7 on the helmet usually due to less focused beam pattern than the later models. Cheaper than the bigger ones from Exposure...great run time...lightweight...decent enough...

My brother was trawling for first press Cardiacs a few weeks ago and I spotted this wee beastie. Turns out the seller used to play guitar for the band and this is the copy given to him on joining. The first punk album I heard as a kid in Oz. I shall enjoy this with a strong coffee shortly as I've th...

Cable ties are a faff if you don't have cutters at the other end...and folks question pulling out a knife to cut them. Go with a roll of 1/2" velcro and cut long strips. Useful outbound, during the trip and on the return....for multiple trips. Forks/cranks stay on fitted. I try to stop things f...

Have flown bikes around the world a few times. Mostly in boxes acquired from local bike shops. I got brazen at one point and did the heavy plastic wrap between UK and Spain/UK and Italy. Small form factor/lots of tape is your friend. Unwrap and rebuild at destination. Carry the wrap (fits in a harne...

"Think both Galton and Red Meadow passes are hike-a-bike" - shades of 2014. We had a short hike over Galton, long hike over Whitefish Divide resplendent with its broken trees/avalanche deposits and a long hike over Red Meadow. Next snow we hit was Richmond Peak (very interesting when you c...

It's been far too long since I got out. Maybe this will be the kick I need to seek another 4SL badge. A bad case of the CBF's blew out Friday and a slow start meant leaving home after midday on Saturday. The big tarmac rollers started just outside Petrie and kept putting up 60-120' climbs all the wa...
