In brief, the further back your erse, the easier it is to counter balance your arms and upper torso, reducing weight on wr...

Yes yes, we know ... you live in Scotland ... blah blah. You don't have to bring it up every time land access is mentioned.

Surely the key rules still apply?

1) Don't be a dick
2) Don't take the piss
3) Be nice to each other

It's taken me nearly an hour to get from the IKEA car park in Bristol to the M4 in the past... Traffic heading into Bristol on the M32 can be heavy too. It really depends on what time you're passing.

The problem as I see it is caused by people that insist on racing each other. If you all just went for a bike ride rather than getting competitive none of this would be a problem. :-bd

Just 3. :-bd Cotic Escapade. 67" fixed, hydro discs, dynamo, guards. Commuter, audax winter bike. It's heavy, slow and shimmies a bit with a saddle bag on, but it's great to ride. Pact Ti. 2x11, discs, flared drops, mudguards. Got two pairs of wheels for this - one road, one gravel. Used for we...

For information. We had one person finish the 320km. He was cursing us. But he did it 👍 It wasn't me guv. :-bd Made it as far as Llangurig. Slipping saddle and subsequent bad back meant I couldn't get up hills so I called it quits and rode back to Rhayader for lunch. Was a nice morning out - apart ...

Re: Best ss set up

Adjustable dropouts for me - have them on two bikes - Salsa and Waltly ti - and they're easier to use but heavier. Been using Cotic track ends with discs for years and they're fine, if a bit fiddly. Also had an EBB for a while (Wheels Manufacturing BB30 adaptor) and while it worked OK it was a faff ...

Yes but no.

Going to be a bit selective, ride the stuff I want to (and know is rideable) and skip the rest. TIAT (this IS a tour) if you will. :-bd
