Re: Twitter
Not on Twitter. Crumbled to FB as the club (SingletrAction) was doing a lot of stuff and using it quite a bit. It's a good tool if used well for clubs and organising things. Does my head in using it on anything other than a PC though. I know what you mean about the content and need to post stuff Stu...

Re: The post man's been ...
Getting a Rig7 into its diddy bag is an art. I''ve managed it sometimes but can never remember which way I did it to repeat next time. It definitely has to be folded etc, not just stuffed in, and folded in a particular way. I wonder why Alpkit don't just add a few more centimetres to the stuff sac a...

Best of luck and chin up, what's the worst that could happen 8-) If I can be of help chairman@singletraction.co.uk or timsellors@googlemail.com will reach me. Not sure what or how as most of my experience is in Yorkshire with FC's Pickering based operations but always happy to chat and the offer is ...

I also asked for their definition of an "event" so we didn't fall foul in future but an answer was never provided.
Affiliating to British Cycling was easiest way for us to get event insurance. FC fee rates I've heard bantered around range from £3 to £5 per person.

Re: If there were a UK 'gravel race' ...
Sorry to hear you've hit problems with harvesting and fees. We encountered the same running the chainless events at Stainburn, despite being a "partner" with FC, a volunteer organisation, building and maintaining trails on their land and the event was not-for-profit. What really irked was ...

Re: Cooking tips
I'm fairly ambivalent about food but like a "proper" brew to the point of being prepared to carry fresh milk and Yorkshire Tea bags. I have found the small plastic bottles commonly used to sell single servings of tonic are pretty perfect for carrying fluids for bivi's. They hold what I con...

Re: Thoughts on this tent
Or get a tarp and any number of the "better value" bivi bags (e.g. the Rig7 and Hunka from Alpkit). A bit more knack to it (but it's not rocket science) but probably more versatile than a coffin / mini tent. Not knocking your choice. Get whatever you feel comfy with and that then helps you...

My second Titus Fireline frame.
First one was baggy in the seattube (by about 2mm apparently) and On One exchanged without question. Fingers crossed for this one though not had a good look at it yet.

Ordering from the States - A Polite Request / Suggestion
If you are about to order stuff and are prepared to faf a little more then post up here to see if others are interested. I only suggest this as me and FF shared the delivery on some stuff from Enlightened Equipment recently. On some stuff shipping will almost double the cost so this is a way to make...

3 season down bag and full length mat. There are other choices but it's what I'd get to give the maximum comfort in the most likely conditions in the UK. You can always flog / add other variations of this key combo as your experience grows. Others views may vary and much is down to individual prefer...

Wired the garage into the house alarm. It's on when we're asleep.

For TT bags there's also Revelate Tangle and Alpkit Possum (?). I really like my Tangle which holds a surprising amount. Versatile as well if you have more than one bike.
