Re: FFS no one needs this.
I can't see what her issue is I don't agree with her but it's obvious that her issue is many ditch sleepers will illegally sleep in a ditch due to WRT Like most I don't care but it's not really a surprise to any of us some object to wild camping or riding FP etc. It's also not like we would stop if...

Re: FFS no one needs this.
nowhere on the WRT page do you encourage wildcamping anyway It's quite hard to argue we are not a wild camping advocacy body. Stu I would just reply with best of luck organising the event you want me to organise. I Personally( no FB so no idea what happened there ) I think she is just being a bit l...

. A problem with being stealthy is that it's by its nature nobody sees you doing it True and a good point/post. Not sure open helps either as I got told of on a footpath by the stone that marks the winter hill mass trespass to get walkers access ( do agree they have become like land owners just wan...

Re: FFS no one needs this.
Nothing we do will change the views of the current govt who are the party of the rich and the landed gentry. I assume more militant ( unless it's mass action ) will just allow them and their billionaire friends who own the media to show us as lawless freeloaders etc ) We really need Scotland laws UK...

Re: FFS no one needs this.
illegal means law stops you doing something IE you cannot ( wildcamp ) unlawful means no legal authority/power/law to do the action( non land owner/ agent - also need proof on them iirc -attempting to move you on)Isn't it unlawful, to be illegal it would need to be a criminal offence

Re: FFS no one needs this.
I know but it's still illegal. All that means is we won't go to prison but may need to pay some redress ( unlikely we will most likely just be moved on )it's civil not criminal

Re: FFS no one needs this.
It's interesting how groups condone some actions that are illegal ( this cheeky trails etc ) but would be horrified by motorbikes churning up footpaths*. Essentially what we do is not fully legal. It's not surprising folk bring this up. * Not aimed at anyone as I also fall into that group . Edit : w...

Whilst I understand the maths it did not make a noticeable difference for me ( but I was not running out of brakes anyway) .

Re: WTD Trekkertent Stealth 1
Rear door is only an option on the outer. IMHO it's really so you can use it as a tarp and you can ( just ) squeeze two in under it , but it's very low set up like this and it's not that high to start with ) I suspect the fabric inner is more adaptable as my mesh one is poor in winter esp if windy (...

I know the defence will be we take the piss out of everything equally but minorities do get persecuted and one presons laugh is yet another example of bigotry and the barriers minorities face.

Re: New Highway Code Changes.
Roads were a tad quieter then and when I see a kid doing it ( as last night in the dark without lights towards me on the wrong side of the road I just see an accident waiting to happen. I slammed on to avoid him but what he was doing was just daft and dangerous. It was not a statement about land own...

Re: New Highway Code Changes.
It's not down to what type of vehicle you use but the type of person you are. Personally I , sorry I mean a friend of mine is, more likely to jump red lights [ as they change from green ]in a car than on a bike Partly this is down to the perception of cyclists and toprovide positive image and partl...

Re: New Highway Code Changes.
^^Very good points I barely see any cyclists and I barely drive my car ( commute x3 a week but still barely see a cyclist on Sustrans route 55 so mainly traffic free my way ) I don't know if car drivers break the law more often than cyclists but I do know they kill more folk and it's more dangerous ...

Re: New Highway Code Changes.
. hand on heart, some cyclists really are stupid and don't help the cause True but the same is true of car drivers , pedestrians or motorcyclists but the hate is not evenly spread . All car drivers don't get grief because someone steals a car or drinks and drives the perpetrator ONLY gets the grief...

Sinewave beacon as it's both a dynamo light and it can run off a battery . Anyone ever tried doing that with a revo as I assume it runs of 6v as that is what the dynamo produces . As for upside down Amy mom road light will likely be just a round output so can be run upside down and won't make any di...
