How wide do you need them Tony?
I have the non-loop Jones bars that I bought from you earlier this year, but I cut them down a little - just measured at 675 mm tip to tip.... too narrow?

Re: Pick 'n mix carbon pole.
Registering some interest in these after the weekend. I need (would like?) a set that would fit in a front dry bag between the hoods on a drop bar bike, so maybe 250mm overall (200 mm rise from each section?), with a bit of space each end. The BB alloy pole set that I have are too long to fit here. ...

Re: Any Karate Monkey owners?
Not a Karate Monkey, but I do have an Ogre - similar in many ways.
It's not light, and it's not fast.
For mile munching and bike packing (dare I say touring in hushed tones) it is very good indeed.
I've had mine about 2 1/2 years now, done overnighters and a two week tour round Scotland.

Well blimey! Quick check on yr.no tells me it could be 9 or 10 degrees C overnight next week. In bloody December!
I'll take it but it's December for crying out loud.
I'm sure Stu will book some revenge for January though

1. Food choices - done and sent (many thanks Ben) 2. Tyre choices - either the same tyres that sit on the CX bike all year, or the same tyres that sit on the Ogre all year. 3. Transport choices - Reg's link for the trains shows a return fare around £70 - not going to happen. Car it is then. Could so...

Re: Reading Glasses
I'm definitely in the reading glasses age range. Typically I'll have a cheapo pair hidden somewhere, not just for actual reading but also for small repairs and adjustments to bike or kit when out and about. I'd not thought about bi-focals at all - I don't need glasses at all for distance work (ridin...

Hi Ian,
Could I take the Dura Ace bar end shifters please.
I'll get the payment across today for them if that's all ok.
Cheers
Rich

Re: Hope light compatability
Registering interest here - I've just replaced my old Hope Vision 4 battery with a new one from MtbBatteries - I'd wondered about an insert for either a rear light or for a bit of USB recharging. I'll ask the question....

Re: Jones bars, comfort and numbness
My tuppence worth, I've had Jones loops on my Ogre for a while now; I had flat bars with Ergon grips (the ones with built in bar ends) previously. I've cut down the Jones bars from 710 to around 660 - too many trees round here, knuckles are a bit exposed. I have the Ergon grips without bar ends. I s...

Re: Multi tool preference and tool kit ideas
I'm still using a Gerber Cooltool, slightly customised with a Torx wotsit so I can fiddle with my brakes, and a rubber band. This goes on every ride with the usual levers, tube and pump. Never carried pliers, sometimes a small Swiss Army knife though. Pretty much never needed or carried anything els...
