Modifying ortleib pannier suggestions
I've got a trip coming up where I will be carrying two people's worth of gear. Have an old set of front roll top ortleib paniers from commuting years ago. Testing them out I'd forgotten how rattly and annoying they are! Also the bags are pretty heavy before you put anything in them. I'd like to conv...

Just destroyed a front wheel (and removed a fair bit of skin in the process  ) Does anyone have anything fairly light surplus to requirements they’d part with? Ebay is looking a bit sparse! The one now shaped like a Pringle was a stans crest / hope - 100mm x 15mm 29er. So something a bit like ...

Re: Very OT - no poo
I did the no shampoo thing for years when I had more hair
Water type made a big difference to how well it seemed to work. Harder water seemed more astringent, so hair less greasy. When I went to visit family with soft water, the complete opposite.

Re: Help oh wise ones (tubeless issue)
Front wheel on my gravel bike started doing exactly this recently. A slow leak via the s poke nipple which was gradually getting worse. Tape was definitely the culprit in my case. I could see where sealant has crept under it when I removed it. They were the only wheels I’d done with ‘proper’ tape no...

I’m guessing it’s something about back orders but it’s either not working or lost in translation.

Cheers I did see that, but I get an odd pop up when I try to add it to my basket so don’t think they actually have stock.
Still waiting to hear back from them.

Ortlieb bike packer plus panniers SOLD
Selling on behalf of my dad. A pair of grey ortlieb 42l panniers. He’s only used them on 3 occasions, other than that they’ve been sat in a garage. Have a few ortlieb extras with them - 2x detachable ortlieb 3l roll top pockets - Front zip mesh pockets which are great for stashing wet kit - Security...

I’m going to plug my own handiwork again - works great. Stuff in a down jacket or an exped ul pillow depending on what I’ve got with me.

Re: #jennride 2021 26th June
I'm thinking I might do this as a social ride rather than smashing it out. Going to see who I end up with on the day and probably just stick with them. Would be good to catch up Rich after the last wrt. I’ll not be rushing round. How rough going is the route generally? Not ridden in the lakes for d...

Re: Recommend me a new hardtail
I bought Ben’s El Mariachi, and it is very lovely :-bd it spends most of its time wearing travers prongs (which produces a very light build without silly money components) but is occasionally seen with a pair of Rebas. Don’t think I’d part with it as it’s a great ride. If I could magically change on...

Sounds very promising.
How much would you want to relieve you of your tyres please?
Also, any idea which version they are as I'd like to run it tubeless.
Edit - Now sorted thanks

Is there a way to download the route gpx without paying money to ride with gps? Trawled through my emails for this and can’t find a different link or any route files with the tickets.

Looking for something a little more aggressive-ish for the back of my mk1 spearfish. It has fag paper clearance with most tyres so would rather not buy new until I know they’ll fit.
So as above anyone had an unwanted / part worn 2.25 nobby nic I can bit to try?
Thanks

Re: Q for parents- finding time to ride
Don’t know what / where you work but could you commute on the bike? That’s how I’ve done most of my annual miles. Puts you in a more positive state of mind for work and is a good disconnect before you get home. Other than that, when you get a chance set of when you’ve put them to bed (erm assuming t...
