Why do you think fork crowns are more robust than headtubes ?( Won't it depend on what they are made off ? )
If it abrades it will abrade either surely?

Re: Guilt issues over not riding.

I get moody if I don't ride and that could be called guilt. I have never really tried to ride every day as I just don't have the time ( or the ride would be sub one hour ). Perhaps set yourself a more realistic goal of time or distance ( per week or month )rather than days as there is more flexibili...

Re: Bar harnesses - recommendation

Does not work with suspension forks IME can do as you have with rigid

Jones bars* are the solution though I agree ...bit spendy ( you still need spacers or you have no additional hand positions )

* Confuscious ( spell) work ok as well for strapping at a much cheaper price point

Re: Bar harnesses - recommendation

Would the Wildcat or Revelate that appear to be the top choices have the same issue please? Not as severe as the alpkit kamga but yes However they do curve ( soft / normal material) as they are not rigid so it's much less ( still need a bat extender thingy IME.) Personally I love the alpkit but the...

In terms of TLS when bikepacking you are a winner( assuming you have not been carrying them as spare but just pretending to ride - must make hike a bike much easier )

Re: 2026 Historic Rights of Way deadline scrapped.

I disagree and i once lived somewhere with a Footpath in both directions outside so accept its a pain [but its the price you pay for living somewhere lovely folk want to be]. Secondly its says divert or extinguish - if you really think Tories, and the landowners who fund them, are just going to alte...

I recently bought this ( it's my LBS anyway) and was impressed. It has a lip so it does not drop into steerer ( like hope ones do -though mine are decades old )
Fitted and works fine

Re: FFS no one needs this.

is debatable Not really ( though we can debate anything even a flat earth) as it's not written to catch us ;we are not using motorised vehicle and it exempts us from it. As.for the war protestors they were clearly sleeping rough( this was why it was applied ) so it was used as intended on who it wa...

Of course our bikes are a vehicle but they are not motorised nor are we attempting to sleep in our vehicle

Still does not apply to us as written and is not intended to apply to us ( presumably walkers also wild camp so lobbied for this exemption )
