Ive only ever done the first one sadly, and yup, I know its different very year..
My mate isn't new to riding, but new to bikepacking- normal does canoe packing etc..

I’ve an old Cumulus 250, and to be fair, I took the straps off the back of it..
I just have my feet in the foot box, and let the rest drape over much like a duvet at home..
I move around a lot while I sleep, but it seems to always be over me..
Far less restrictive than a doss bag imho..
