Re: Genesis Vagabond - any good?

Max Effort My Vagabond suits my local riding conditions and my style of riding. I live a 15 mile ride of tame trails and minor roads to the Surrey Hills. My Arkrose is too uncomfortable, when loaded, to tackle the off road sections, my Longitude too slow and boring getting there. I have done several...

New water bottles

My plastic water bottles are looking decidedly ropey. I was thinking of upgrading to aluminium or even titanium - any recommendations? I would prefer a lid that I can drink from whilst riding but it seems that all sports tops are plastic so happy with a screw top or possible both options. I may be h...

7/7 The Ardennes Arbalete After last months poor show I had hoped this trip would redeem my BAM credentials. A 6 day trip to Belgium, using the Eurostar from St Pancras, proved very good fun with very little pain or suffering. I wild camped the first night at Lac de le Gileppe. The camp was a dedica...

6/6 June Brittany (possibly) The last 2 years I have failed in June and this year was nearly no exception. I did manage a bivvy in my mates garden in central Brittany, a bike (Big Dummy) was involved either day although it was towing these two monkeys and I didn't arrive at camp carrying my gear in....

Crikey those german ones are expensive. i bought a Little Van kids trailer off ebay for £1 with a broken hitch. fitted a new Burley hitch rubber which connected into an existing axle mount that we already had for the kids trailer. The bottom section is an aluminium box and I had intended to strip th...

I have my bike voucher to Caersws. The local ticket office was shut so I used this number ‭ 0870 333 3555‬ Trainlines Indian call centre who helpfully checked that there was cycle availability on both trains before issuing a voucher code. Having booked I now realise I want to be at The Star not BBT ...

Bearbones towers by train

Is it possible? Easy ? I am assuming train to Caerwas and then an hour cycle on the road.

Do you need to book the bike on the train from Birmingham? Any ideas how to do this?

Thanks
