Re: Another Winter Bivvy :)

I'll play it by ear - it's a trade off between lower gears and wider tyres vs a much lighter bike. If I do need to cycle home, I'm aiming at Newport to be able to pick up NCN 55 all the way back to Stafford so want to be the other wide of telford to Shifnal - the route I looked at would be all coun...

Re: Another Winter Bivvy :)

I'm just going to get an off-peak ticket so that I can wing it on Sunday depending on when we get back. It's only 40 miles from Little Stretton to home (Nearly 50p a mile for the return rail ticket!) if all else fails. I presume a mountain bike would be a better bet than a gravel bike? Gravel bike ...

They are one of the best sets I've bought (&cheapest) for being useful if you have a large circlip mate 100+mm then hold the jaws l Evelyn as you open them otherwise they start to twist a little

Don't like look of seatpack or bar roll but as I'm in the market for a full frame bag the custom one fits the bill ,it's not the normal vx21 material anybody got any experience how it wears ,I'm presuming their rucksacks are made of the same material

Re: Eccentric Bottom Bracket

As Stu says Bob, but if natural cooling doesn't work drop some water on it when it's heated up the sudden temp change does shock it or so I found when trying to remove stuck hubs on the trucks at work , the only thing I'd do is put some wet rags around the frame so that it stays at a lower temp than...

I've slimmed down my kit a bit over my first year and find I don't like riding with a heavyish bar bag ,I've also found my alpkit possum is a bit useless ,been looking at this since rtts when Stu had his kit spread between seat pack and frame bag ,I know I can get bivy bag ,ground sheet, cook set an...
