Verena... was only able to join us for the sunny leg of the tour
Does this mean Verena's deity abilities trump Reg's rain god status?

Re: Tubeless inflator

Most of the DIY inflators I've seen don't have a track pump head, just an open tube that's a nice close fit with the valve stem. There's normally some sort of valve in the system that's either fully on or off (e.g. fire extinguisher handle). Adding a track pump head will slow the air down, and limit...

Re: Wheel build comments ref. the ideal Dyno wheel for bike packing and touring

I've built up a set of the TL-29 runs, they were nice and easy to build and seem ok for the trail riding I do in the Peak.
I'm pretty sure they're what Halo badge as the Vapour 35.

No direct experience, but I totally agree with you on the dual hex design. I'd have thought something like these Stronglight ones would do the job nicely?

Re: Bivvy a Month 2021

We got the band back together. I get the impression that Trep actually enjoys her job*, but viewed from afar it seems like she’s been working all the hours that capitalism sends. Thankfully, last weekend we managed to align the stars, and it was two pairs of weary legs that bimbled their way along t...

Shropshire and the Elan Valley - any recommendations?

In need of some decompression time, I've agreed with Mrs Bearlegged that she and the bairns will stay with her mum in Shropshire during October half term, while I go off pedalling. I fancy visiting the Elan Valley, like the look of Stiperstones, and want to revisit the Kerry Ridgeway and Long Mynd. ...

I've got an SLX SL-M670, but it has the display. Looks like there's a couple of screws you can remove to take it off, but I'm slightly loathe to start disassembling it! Let me know if it's any use.

Ben Veloviewer and Simon Warren (of 100 Climbs fame) have been out measuring the gradient. They reckon it hits 36.5% at its steepest.
