Re: Frame bag

I have a custom fat bike bag from them. Not yet used but well made and good fit to the bike. Easy to deal with and quick delivery.

Re: Choosing to Live

Does anyone else have a problem viewing Vimeo videos? I'm watching on a Kindle Fire and they frequently seem hang up after around 3 or 4 minutes and just stop downloading.

No, you can't exert enough force with the short handles, and it wouldn't be a clean cut anyway.

Re: derailleur hanger alignment tool

It screws into the mech hanger and then you use it as a lever to bend the hanger straight relative to the wheel.

Santic trousers just delivered. Ordered size EU M despite the measurements shown in the size chart. Label says EU M, Asian L. Nice fit for me, 5' 9" 34" waist.

@scotroutes - ref. Santic tights on Amazon. How do you find the sizing on these? Looking at their size charts I could be anything from M to XL.

Seeing this about welder I have a question. How difficult is it to learn to weld? I sometimes have a need to weld, generally a small job, and feel it might be worthwhile to be able. Otherwise I have to pay someone or find another way.

Re: Todays ride

Rode a circuit from home which included a section of historic track called Mar's Road, now sadly been out of use for years. Part of it is still signed as a footpath but the section that interested me can only be followed by using field boundaries. The track was shown on old OS maps, 6" and 1&qu...

I currently have 4 horse chestnuts, 2 Scots pines, 6 geans ( wild cherry) and 2 rowans growing on in pots. Most are rescued self-seeded. Usually plant out along our field boundaries but might look at some guerilla planting.

Re: The post man's been ...

Pair of Northwave Enduro Mid boots. Not quite what I was looking for. Northward Gran Canion would have been better, I bought a pair second hand which were too small (43/9.5 my usual size). So I sized up to 45 and they fit fine although label says 45/11! Just need to adjust cleats then ride.

I'd really like something that comes up around the ankle like the Buzzsaw or Trail 110. Search results show mostly out of stock or very few sizes available.

MTB high top boots

I'm trying to find some new boots to replace my old Specialized Sawpits which have finally given up the ghost. They stopped making these years ago. I think they were superceded by the Buzzsaw but these too are no longer available. I like boots which come up to the ankle but there don't seem to be ma...

Northwave boots

Northwave Gran Canion boots size 43/9.5. Bought second hand but virtually unused. Too small for me although I am normally a 9.5 so need to size up. Selling for what I paid - £50 + £5 delivery.

Re: A question of shoes (mid/boots actually)

I have a pair of Northwave Gran Canion which I bought second hand off Ebay but they don't fit me. Size 43/9.5, virtually unused/new, just slight mud on sole, with Shimano cleats. I am normally size 9-9.5 but these are too tight so need to size up. £55 posted if they are useful to someone.
