Any diff? Temp rating on women's and men's sleeping bags

Thanks to the bargain alert thread, and being a short bloke, I'm the happy owner of a mountain equipment women's sleeping bag. Once again the bargain alert thread has come up trumps and the sea to summit bags look tempting for a winter bag - as I sleep really 'cold'. The women's bag I'm interested i...

Re: Bar Sweep... Worth it?

I've also got an old injury on one hand. I initially tried on-one Mary bars which helped (on a rigid 29er). I then changed to Jones bars and whilst I loved the position on that bike they felt a bit too rigid and that (I think) on longer rides contributed to numbness. Now I've bought a fat bike with ...

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread

bit of a lax summer in terms of weighing in, but I've been (mostly) continuing with good habits

last weigh in here was
13/7/18 72.2 kg (158.84).

so I'm happy with today's

5/10/18 72.5 kgs (159.5)

keep on keeping on all :-bd

thanks all for the offers.

The XT ones appeal most - I'm so shallow!

But the Tektros would be good for daughter's pub bike  so Greg and Scattamah have PM'd you both.

Lazarus - boat related pm may well follow in the near future! :-bd

Re: Todays ride

The last two weekends have been a collection of short rides up the Grand Union canal towpath, to get back to the car to then bring the car down to where the narrow boat is, as we slowly bring the boat to near home. As a slow cyclist, it's really weird covering the return route quicker than the outwa...

Not sure if this should be in here or in the postman's been thread, but I just received an email staying that we are now the legal owners of a narrowboat called Quintessence.

We collect it tomorrow and start the potter back to a mooring near home.

I feel pretty cheery about that! :-bd

Re: Question from a newbie to tubeless

A belated update. On a stony downhill, on the Dorset gravel dash, I heard a hissing sound from the front tyre, and despite my best efforts of spinning and wiggling the wheel the sealant didn't seal. So after a bit of faffing, I decided to fit my spare inner tube. To my surprise there was an inner tu...
