Cut up some ginger put it in the flask and leave it to soak over night , when I was first told about it I was wtf , but tried it and it’s lovely , also helps stop the “hot aches” in winter

Liability insurance is next to nothing, I just got quoted 350 p/a upto 10million van insurance is totally different, my quote was 1850 but that’s insuring tools upto 10000 , bike tooling doesn’t come anywhere near that even if you have a full set of park ,the other thing to look at Tony is when thin...

Re: Living a meagre existence so you dont have to work ?

After carefully reading this thread(for once) I believe there’s a big difference in those of us who have kids and those who doesn’t or have flew the nest , as I said in my first post I can comfortably go at 60 but if it’s left to me I won’t , our lives have now got to the position where the daughter...

I only ever used acf on the insides of my frame when I had the longitude and cdf , probably not needed but a little piece of mind , then repeated every September

Re: Living a meagre existence so you dont have to work ?

You certainly need some self discipline. It's easy to become lost without a reason to get up. Losing any sense of accomplishment is also easy to do, so again, you need something. Weirdly, over the years I think I've had more people tell me that they couldn't live my life than those who said they co...

Something just struck me ... what if you don't have a landline? Are calls to a mobile somehow tracked via the phone's gps? No idea mate , but would it surprise you if they were as in theory track and trace pings your phone whenever your near someone else who’s either infected or been close to someo...

Memories like that makes a man, quite what, it remains to be seen, but it’s those memories which keep us(relatively) sane in these times. If you do Facebook then head over to the Packrafting UK group. Not only will you find lots of hints ant tips, you'll find folk selling boats too. https://www.facebook.com/groups/PackraftingUK/ Don’t do any of that Facebook stuff or insta but my daughter does so will speak nicely to her to let me on

A question for mr climber/Stu/or any pack raft users

Looking at ordering a pack raft for when the lock down is over , looked at alpaca either caribou or classic( leaning towards classic as it has a removable deck) but can’t seem to find any in uk , any other decent brands out there upto 4kg and coming in around £1000 , don’t really know if I can be bo...

If your going to measure a chain with verniers you need to go center of pin to center of pin over 10 pins then divide by 9 , but you’ll need the original chain pitch to see how much is stretched , , maximum wear on lifting chains is 2% but on a bike chain I have no idea , the reason over 10 pins is ...
