Re: Surly karate monkey fork for genesis latitude???
Plenty of options at Carbon Cycles: https://www.carboncycles.cc/?s=0&t=0&rb=01& I stand corrected, until now I hadn`t had much luck looking for 1 1/8 straight steerer 29er carbon forks, the best I could find were £50 ebay jobs, not sure I would trust them ( ought to try them really I su...

Re: Surly karate monkey fork for genesis latitude???
As far as I can see, the OP has a 1 1/8" straight head tube on his bike, So surely only 1 1/8" straight forks will fit? Or have I missed something, that maybe an adapter for allow tapered 1 1/5" for to fit to that frame? If only 1 1/8" steerer forks will fit then the choice of an...

Got the gardening jobs out of the way then this:- https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49814756822_7728e79ec2.jpg ...all afternoon. Not all good though. The smell of the blossom was overpowering and the bees kept up this infernal humming. And I had no beers. I am jealous of your lovely garden!

If I had the folding I’d stump for a Ti Fargo or cutthroat but you’d have to be nuts to buy that.

Re: Salsa go SS Gravel.
I see the Salsa Stormchaser has room for a maximum of 50mm tyres, is there much choice in that size? Maxxis Ikons are available in 2.0 not sure what else would fit?
I can see the appeal of the bike though.

Those late `80s mountain bikes make great 26" wheel tourers.
My British Eagle Mantara from the early `90s is one of my favourite bikes
Nice video too.

HTRider They have lovely markings! Still occasionally find one in the bath or sink. I carefully catch and release them. Spiders are good at keeping various bug and mite numbers down. None of my partner's believed that theory! (Strange that!) Just leave a cloth hanging down into the bath or si...

Re: Motorcyclists.....what ya got?
The FZR1000 Yammie in 1987 was a highlight. At the time it was the fastest thing on two wheels. I am, today, ashamed to say I topped it out at 160mph My boss had one when I was 17, had just progressed from a DT125 to a VF400 two weeks earlier when he chucked me the keys and said take it for a spin....

1970s 750 Laverda at back of shed awaiting resurrection, owned since I was 18 (I’m a hoarder. When I met my other half 20 years ago I had to get rid of a few as when I moved into her house she drew the line at bikes in the house. When we met, I had a Suzuki Enduro bike in the kitchen and the Ducati...

Velocette Venom and project Death Trap. Dee's Z650 is also sat here. My brother has an ES2 and a T140 which appear to go into joint ownership when they need looking at. Absolutely no interest in anything post 1990. My Dad had a Velocette Venom, I remember the Number plate was 127 BON,...
