Re: Big rides or ....

Lots of hours in the saddle seems to work.

200km is only 125 miles though, a training plan with kettlebells and turbo sessions sound a bit extreme to me unless your aiming to do it under 15 hours in one go.

Re: Condensation and bivvy bags?

Full length NeoAir used. Tested the bivi bag by filling it with water and it was fine so the water came from me.

My top half was under cover and my feet in that Saturday's biblical rain. I just assumed it can't breathe if its wet through on the outside. ?

SE14534521 - Small stone shelter on the moor. Legend has it Dick Turpin slept there while hiding from the long arm of the law. Running water right next to it.

The Pennine Bridleway

So I mentioned this on the epic bivvy thread on STW and I reckon here is the place to get this going. The Pennine Bridleway is now open(ish) 200 miles of interconnected tracks making it the longest continual cyclyable off road track in the UK. Re: Highest number of consecutive nights out?

What are the rules here: Are we talking alpine style? ie how many nights without restocking in towns or simply how many nights carrying your own gear on you bike and sleeping outside? Proper bivvy in the wilds alpine style - only 2 nights I'm afraid... boo (although I reckon you need at least 2 nigh...

Food of the Gods

I like Wales, it's hilly, I got married there, my wedding ring is made from Welsh gold (like Royalty don't you know) and I spend a lot of time there. It's also the place where I ride my bike the most. I like it because it reminds me of the Yorkshire and where I grew up at the foot of the Dales. Now ...
