I had no idea someone got hurt that badly, what happened?
Accidently scratched my arm this afternoon and found I still had some nettle stings about!

Re: Tyre Assistance... Dorset Gravel Dash
I also wore my Bear Bones shirt with pride Was it you I followed down the singletrack loop? I only saw the one BB jersey. Lovely day out, even if it felt a bit like hard work at the end! I had a puncture just before the hill forts and may have pushed a bit hard trying to make up time on the long ru...

Re: French tour help
Towards the end I'd recommend heading to Beaune and then down the route des grand vins. Very pretty round there. That should take you to around santenay, then head in to chagny and somewhere round there you can pick up the towpath south towards chalon Sur saone, easy traffic free miles.

Ah, ok- I just wondered as I thought it might be harder identifying the start and finish points with less distinct 'seas' around the country.

How is the welsh divide defined? Is between water that ends in the sea and water that goes via England first?

I might be interested in the bag if available separately- does it have a hose port? How much would you be looking for?

Re: Same rim for bikepacking 29 and touring 700c
I've used stans crests and arches with Mtb, road (25s) and CX tyres. If tubeless look at the pressures on the rim sticker. But stans say (and my experience confirms) that with a tube in go by the pressure recommendations on the tyre The caveat I got on top of that when I spoke to them was 'but I pr...

Oh, and a Blackburn handlebar roll. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1585/26193121616_eec49b5332_z.jpg IMG_20160403_224723637 by MatGoesSomewhere , on Flickr A bit heavy but it's mainly to try for commuting- tired of a rucsac, don't want panniers again. Two big fat OnOne BSC tyres. The ones with white walls. Something snapped in my mind last week and I found myself entering the Ride London 100 and deciding to do it on my Fatty. The BSCs at 20psi are just a tad easier than Floaters at 8. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1598/26147668251_00d6320b91_n....

Re: Winchester to new forest
I worked on a similar (ish) route last summer. Didn't quite come off as I managed to pick the monsoon week late august and eventually yielded defeat when I got to Portsmouth unable to stop shivering. I came from caterham but hit the south downs at harting downs, went over and down into Portsmouth. W...

Nothing special today really, but it felt sufficiently spring-ly on the way home from work that I added a few extra miles to get some good views in. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1701/25554819843_5f6755f3b0_z.jpg 2016-03-31_08-44-54 by MatGoesSomewhere , on Flickr It was wonderfully clear, from my ...

Hmmm, so, been doing a little looking over the Crowborough to Hindhead or so section. So memories for me! -the run in to Bewl Water from the ...

Not strictly a visit from the postman, more the culmination of several, but I finally put the tyre on and fitted the front of my new wheels. The rear has admittedly been on for a while! Velocity blunt SS on a superstar ultra lite- with disc it's knocked ~120g off compared to the hope on arch it repl...

I don't think I saw this link anywhere the thread- forgive me if it's been done

The line cuts just a bit south of some of the nicer bits in the Weald I've ridden. There are some nice bits around tilgate forest just south of Crawley at least

If it's a nice day it's sell worth suffering the sdw climb up to truleigh hill for the views- then follow the ridge until you climb up out of the farm after the devil's punchbowl and turn right towards Brighton that way. Does add some climbing for tired legs but the views are worth it! The cake in s...

I can get you from sevenoaks to Guildford on generally pretty good riding if you want to come that way. Along the greensand ridge to limpsfield chart, up onto the north downs all the way to Dorking gives you views of London to the north and the Weald and south downs to the south, then it's the Surre...

Re: Uk Divide Route?
Also Guildford to reading takes you through the swinley area and surroundings. There are a good number of tracks and trails round there but I don't know them well enough to piece together a route- I think some of the army land has become more contentious lately so it may need an up to date local. Th...
