Re: Welsh coast to coast
I’m after a gpx file for the welsh coast to coast route for some arm chair planning. I know there are several versions; is the consensus the one put together by Ian is the best of the bunch?? How long do you want to be out for? What % of off-road and how technical? Hey Matt, have you still got the ...

Re: Wales open
I cannot wait. Lockdown has meant I've managed to get out for more day rides than usual but not being able to strap the gear to the bike and "do it properly" for over nighters has been very frustrating. The question is, where first? Reckon the Clwyds are winning so far. Still waiting for ...

Re: All road, warroad, endurance help.
Depending how big you want the tyres to go up to, the Trek Domane (the 2020) in carbon sounds like it may work I use a Domane and I think without guards you go go up to 35mm & 32mm with guards fitted probably more clearance on the Checkpoint both good bikes tbh Diverge looks tasty too. personal...

Re: Frame repair opinions
I'd say if it doesn't crab like an old Mini with goosed subframes just keep riding it, probably be fine or a repair would be easily sorted and wouldn't take much from someone who knew what they were doing

Lots of things enter my mind and should really write stuff down as I'm a bit forgetful so my other half tells me, some stuff I forget forever some stuff comes back.

To tape or not to tape that is the question
What are peoples views on taping up the frame on a bike packing bike for protection from bags rubbing etc, or do you like the bike to bear the scars of adventure. I've only ever taped my go to carbon xc ride but not yet bothered doing the Big Bro as its not like I'm going anywhere just yet ??

Majority of riders of that era were taking some drug or another anyway, the sports rife for PEDS just like most sports I guess. Think the sporting passports is a great idea but I was reading something a while back about micro dosing which allows some athletes to stay under the radar with small amoun...

Somewhere
The night is on the run
With a bottle of ouzo
And a rusty gun
The north wind
Is like a Spanish Guitar
Soaked in petrol
Burning on the bar
Love Cat Empire, great band

Chinese copy of a Lunar solo, before that I used a 3f UL gear 1 manner both weighing 750 ish grams and both work well tbh for the money paid I cant really complain about either, kept me dry on many occasions.
