Re: Gravel tyre that plays nice with Stans rims

I've happily fitted tubeless Nano 40's onto my Stans Alpha400 rims, set them up tubeless no problem. Have you actually tried fitting them on the Iron Cross (plenty of washing up liquid and a tubeless inflator perhaps)?

Autumn Chiltern Thing, new date 9th Nov ???

Its been a while, so wondered if any of the Cheeky Chiltern Chaps were up for a bit of ' chateauneuf du pap ' packing  Usual Chiltern format, ride bikes though some hideous sticky sub-standard, afternoon tea with cucumber sandwiches and fine dining pub (perhaps Penn Street or Pink and Lily - S...

Re: Chilterns route advice

The others have mentioned Berkhamstead. I agree this a good base, nice pubs, food, etc. I stopped there at the Mad Squirrel last Friday before an after work bivy. You can then go into the Ashridge Estate near Ivinghoe beacon for a stealth bivy and then have breaky at the lovely Brownlow Cafe larsma...

Re: Chilterns route advice

Where do you want to start from and how far do you want to go? I live in Berkhamsted and have dozens of routes in the area. Just one thing to note, the rural chilters isn't actually that rural, there's houses and farms every where, are you camping or descrete bivi, it makes a difference on where you...

I've got a Blue XL that I want to shift, only used it once, I think they call it Lego. Don't know what its worth really, how about £32 (1/2 price) + £5 for postage?

Re: One for those in the know...

I've got both, (Riddlers 700c45's) and to be honest they are both excellent and have surprisingly similar performance, if you take into account the different volumes. The riddlers have significantly higher volume and hence I run a little softer than Nano's, this means they won't fit a lot a CX frame...

3/ My Reilly Gradient gravel bike comfortably takes a 700c45, but Chiltern mud ( ) at the moment not particularly suited to gravel riding.
