Re: Viz top tip

I just find the "worse things happens" something you can always say, to anything, unless its as extreme as the two things I stated. I could have used the zombie apocalypse and thermonuclear war but doubt that would have met with universal approval/understanding either [ and the two I ment...

You can say that about anything that is not a war or genocide including everyone on here having all their bikes stolen.

I think there's great value in a lingua franca between the (quite arbitrary) components of the UK.

Not going anywhere with that really

Picked up a micro puff jacket in red for 109. The shiny blue/green of the pullovers really is a colour only a mother could love

Re: Speedgoats Pt2 Cross Trainers

Buy a couple of pairs on the credit card and return the ones that don't fit? It'll only cost postage once and, when you know a brand and their fit, it becomes a little easier. Sadly though they then feck about with remodels almost every year / season and hence you see reviewers wailing about their f...

Something from Inov8, probably. As you've discovered maximal cushioning isn't great for gym work. Still, better than the fella I saw recwntly who was playing squash in Hokas. One way trip to borked ankles imo.

Re: Fitting a valve to a drybag

Shaff's suggestion of the event-ended stuff sacs by Sea 2 Summit is a good one, IMO. They sold loads off in the old whitey-grey / yellow colour scheme but seem to have refreshed the colour schemes: https://www.seatosummit.co.uk/products/storage/evac-dry-bag/ Nae cheap but effective and you don't end...

Why start in January? Just carry on and your 12 months will roll around again when you complete it next (squints, counts on fingers, sticks out tongue) March (?). For some BAM is a great motivator, for others it seems to be (or become) a millstone. Just roll with it man. I've never managed it and am...

Any chance of a couple of images of the featherweight please?

I tend to be XL in most jackets but wear large in every other Outdry I've had. Their sizing really is weird. What's the pit-to-pit measures when flat, please?

Re: First time bikepacking.

Weight distribution- depends how much you're carrying. Better more at back or frame bag than on a bar bag.

Most bags are fine, even secondhand. Just get whatever you can, if the bug takes then maybe get particular about it.

All IMO
