Re: Fatfighters 2019 Weigh-in Thread

I keep hoping I can join back in with this but to add to my collection of medical woes my thyroid has now died a death and I have the metabolism of a dumpling. I am 72.4kg despite trying to watch what I eat and exercise. But the endocrinologist says they may up my thyroxine soon - in my mind I shall...

Re: anyone got a new fargo?

I was very lucky to get one for my birthday - an absolutely gorgeous bike that could be a perfect alrounder.

For me I will be keeping my stooge for the rockier stuff - and for mucky days atm as the fargo is way to pretty to get dirty yet!

How about a shackle? I have a few left over from my days of sailing and they are quite useful.

I'd have thought a longer narrower one would work - like this

Re: Can we have a new jersey yet?

I think there are a few on here struggling with the orange and their red colouring, that and the orange being as steathly for wild camping as a workman's vest - but personally I like orange :)

Re: Prescription (sun) glasses?

+1 is a reading prescription (to correct your inability to focus on near objects), as you'd probably only use these for reading maps etc just pick up a cheap pair from poundland etc, I think you can also get cheap tinted ones designed for reading whilst on holiday I wouldn't have thought riding in t...

Re: Teddy bear bones 29th June

This event is always slightly problematic to organise, as we struggle to find venues to fit the group near to reasonable trails for children. The late notice has come from people dropping out - we couldn't have squeezed anymore on previously. I wonder if regional versions are the way forward? Please...

Teddy bear bones 29th June

This has been a somewhat covert planning operation this year. Not because we are antisocial but because it's a real struggle to find sites suitable for the kind of camping and riding we want to do with small children present. We've had a few pull out so we now have some spaces If anyone's interested...

Re: Do we want another 'Run to the sun'?

TBB has had to go a bit underground this year as we are restricted on numbers where we've booked. It has also moved dates and location to coincide with Scottish school holidays to allow participation from those north of the border. It is a bit of a logistical nightmare but worth it for the cheese, w...
