Re: BB200 2017 - No More Speculation

Ha ha Mike's gpxs may be awful but they aren't a patch on his distance estimations . . .'as the crowd flies it's about...'

One of our rides to get me back out on my bike again was estimated at 'about 30 miles each way' - we did over 100 miles!

Not sure Peter ... however, there is a bloke works there who's a double of Chew.
I refer to him as Chew's Welsh cousin Hew . . . It amuses me anyway and there have been a few times there I've needed some amusement in my life

Re: BareBones Fatfighters - The weigh in

I'm now hovering around 10st 10lb (well not hovering as I'm still way to heavy for any kind of levitation)
But considering I got up to 12st 4lb after my surgery I'm happy to still be shrinking. Not really dieting just sticking to lchf and still trying to ride as much as I can

Re: Northern winter bivi

The 'original' wekend is good for me as I'll be childless - any other weekend I'll have to drag the boys along with me. They'll probably be the height of teenage awkwardness and quite mardy with me as all they want to do is skate at the moment and hang about together not saying much to anyone else.....

I am childless on the 16/17th so this would suit me :)

I'm not going to offer myself for organising anything though - that sounds a bit rubbish but I have my reasons

Northern winter bivi

I have heard mutterings through the grape vine of a northern winter bivi - but I've yet to see it detailed anywhere (or maybe I'm being blind  )

They would look incredible on my special needs stooge - it already has loads of spacer and a 50mm 30° stem - with these it would be a proper sit up and beg   must admit that... I saw these and thought of you  I'm obviously renowned for being decrepid now - someone had already posted...

PSA for stove tinkerers

A while ago I made a stove out of a aluminium beer bottle - wasn't as tiny as Stu's but it was fun to make (and won the impromptu meths stove boil off that we had a few years back - although all the disgruntled boys said I just won the women's event - sore loosers the lot of them  ) Since them ...

Re: Making it easier for the boy

My two have ridden 650b since they were 10 and 12 on their 13.5 and 15inch frames.

They never had 26" going straight up from 24" -soon I will need to consider what they get next (probably rebuilt frames that I still have from my bikes in the shed!)
