Re: Sleeping clothes/ PJ's?

Nice one. A few options to look at their... Cheers..

I'm liking the image of me popping out of the bivy at night, in a long stripey flannelette nightshirt and nightcap, looking for a good spot for a tinkle by candlelight

Sleeping clothes/ PJ's?

Just noticed the old thermal top and bottoms I've been using so far,to sleep in, are a bit weighty... Guess I mainly use them to keep my grubby self away from my sleeping bag and to keep warm?

Not sure what to look for exactly

Re: New Kona 'Unit X' looks very BP friendly :)

The only off the shelf bike I've seen so far that could replace my longitude. I'll be keeping and eye on that especially if rohloff dropouts will be available.

Good find :-bd

Tyre boot is used when you put a hole in your tyre. You put the bit of whatever in to stop the tube then bulging out.

Re: Capital Trail?

I got back home yesterday after having to abandon the mission. Started at Inners and got past Edinburgh but after a catalogue of errors on my part and tired legs I backtracked to Edinburgh and got the train to Galashiels. I'm new to longer rides and stopping out and had a brilliant time and have com...

Re: moor100 parking

I left mine at the campsite as well but passed a guy setting up who parked next to the common. Wasn't causing an obstruction so I doubt anyone minded and it seems to be used by walkers and day trippers as well.

Re: Water Filtration Help

I've got some water treatment tablets from army rations I've used. Does the same advice above cover their use or do they chemically make anything drinkable all be it not very tasty? MOD issue Puritabs are chlorine. You need visibly clean water. You need a contact time (ie how long before you drink ...

Capital Trail?

Should be doing this soon and there's plenty of info on it so should be a good ride but I'm thinking of starting at Inners as I'll be there already riding the trail bike or should I just drive up to Edinburgh and start their? Also any recommendations of route alterations or is it good as is?

You know I was all ready to start laughing until I watched the video. Not a bad idea really if the claims are to be believed. Looks a very natural way to propel you along. Also website has some subtle and unnecessary eye candy making me believe I will be that popular with the ladies if I buy one I'm...

Re: Genesis longitude yay or nay

2015 owner here and love it to bits. A colleague bought a 2017 and sat together they are no different other than colour. Frame is identical. I'm guessing they just went back to the original design but kept the 27.5+ sales pitch of the 2016. It'll still run big 29er tyres if needed. Actually they did...

Another fan here.

Can't fault them. Trimmed mine down to 780ish. Biggest ride on them is 100 over two days... Very comfy

Re: Full Mudgaurds?

My first reply on the forum with a subject I can help with...... :-bd I've took the off-road mudguard thing to the extreme and found some solid rattle free ( but heavy) aluminium guards which cover a 29x 2.6 tyre but can be had in all sizes. Here's the post I put on single-track awhile back: After b...
