Arrgh - id edited the last post with alot more info on the area but the forum decided I was no longer allowed to post when i tried to submit :evil: really annoying when you spent ages typing it out on a phone

We bike packed the SUW last summer from Portpatrick to Galashiels - we popped into white laggan to get out of the rain and to have a brew - there were 4 guys in the main room off their tits on something, they said they were there fishing but didnt appear to have any fishing gear with them. A mate has the mongoose, it's a decent size and has 2 doors which makes a massive difference when sharing. Not the lightest but for £30, I don't think you'll find better value. If your looking at the Vango Banshee, I'd probably go for the 300.

I'll probably use a gas stove rather than meths or solid fuel as I'll be wanting a hot meal/morning coffee as quickly as possible in the colder weather. I'll probably also stick to food that cooks quickly rather than waiting for things to rehydrate or cooking meals from scratch, as I have been thro...
