2020 is far too long ago to remember!
Certainly for me. Was that on the jennride or summer solstice bivvy?

Had a play today. Top tube is using a decathlon thingy, as mentioned above.
Not ridden it like this yet, other than down the lane, but standover is fine.

Ha slugwash,
Perhaps I need a rename. Still got the fatty but this for a solaris, and trying to avoid the thought of loading up the forks.
Cheers all.

Re: Cape wrath, Loch dionard question
Cheers woodsmith.
Do you have a gpx of your route please.
I am guessing you went from lochan sgeireach, North West ish. It certainly looks like a hefty push (adventure) heading south eastwards in the opposite direction
I guess if its been dry then it could be a yeah, if it's wet then vote no.

Informative review here. https://bikepacking.com/gear/apidura-fr ... er-review/
Especially regards the bite valve and hose quality. Refilling is clearly easier with an apidura bag or similar design.
Still tempted but need to do some measuring

I am sure the skin so soft formula thing is an urban myth. It still works for me and has the bonus of making my skin feel ohhh, so soft.

Thx all.
Now where did I put those shims.
I'll go digging.
I find inner tube too floppy for this use case.

Exposure bar lights and Mr Jones
So what is the best way of mounting exposure bar lights to Jones bars?
Ideally I think I'd want to mount on the outer sweep but that is too narrow I think.
Mount on the back bar and the front casts a shadow.
Hang it upside down on the back bar then bar bags are in the way.

Re: Jones type bars and geometry set up
Cheers all
As is usual I'll have to do some reading.
I have jones on one bike and always loved the position. On the full suss I've never got around to swapping so hence the geometry question.
Interesting about the seat bar height. I have no idea at the moment how they are on both bikes

Jones type bars and geometry set up
So you have a bike designed for standard bars and stem.
Jones type bars sweep back much further. Let's say 50mm for simplicity.
If you then change the stem as well to something 50mm longer do you have an identical geometry and set up, just with the sweep bars
I am assuming width is the same.

Sonder camino XL sizing
At 185 cm, 6'1" in old money would an XL camino be too big?
Size guide does say L is up to 6' 2" but thought I'd ask here what people are riding.

Re: Great North Trail vs Pennine Bridleway
What Whitestone says about the Earby to long Preston. The pbw is a depressing trudge especially when soft, where as the back lanes are actually quite pleasant and don't take too long. The pbw from Glossop to hollingworth lake has its failings. This is my alternative which in my opinion is far more e...

High Cup nick is stunning and really not to be missed. Conditions up there amazing at the moment too. As for cow Green, it is very popular with camper vans.
