Re: Are you having owt interesting for Christmas?

I'm looking forward to "Santa" delivering a bunch of OS grid refs on Christmas Day.... I maybe wrong but I think "Santa" is delivering those GR`s down your chimney on Christmas eve! As for me, I`ve asked for 4 OS maps covering most of the Cairngorms and an Indian Motorcyc...

Re: Bike Locks

Hi Willow, I just use an old small chain combination lock, it takes up no space in my seat bag the main problem being finding it means unpacking everything! TBH I have more concerns of lights/GPS getting nicked when the bike is left outside a shop. To be fair though, I think a bike loaded with bags ...

Re: Where are all the women?

As Chew says, it's probably just a numbers game. Maybe somewhere there's a post on a horse riding / hockey / netball forum entitled 'where are all the men?'[/quote] That about horse riding is spot on! My wife does amateur show jumping at riding club level (read , quite low jumps) and men are no wher...

Alpkit parallax trousers

Hi, I like the look of these waterproof trousers, the reviews on the Alpkit website are mostly positive however none of the reviews relate to wearing them whilst cycling.
Does anyone have any experience of these as cycling specific over trousers?

Never seen a Lynx in the wild but years ago I saw a wild cat of some description over the Abergwesyn road and while out shooting around Llanddewi Brefi I saw a very large black 'cat' walking along a hedgeline. Safe to say I made a very cautious retreat. https://ic.pics.livejournal.com/muffintop_pri...

Not knowing what`s around the corner makes for a proper bikepacking ride. If you don`t want any surprises go around a your local ...
