Shouldn't be long before the first tales from this weekend.

I wonder if Rich G will be shelling out £50 to the air ambulance then?

Re: What do you recall from your 2 days (BB200s)
During my first BB200 i recall finishing though a forest section which was deeply rutted and required lots of pushing off cambre...this was definatley the crux for me, and one ive not forgotton! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48895782563_804f77e98c_k.jpg 20191013_001138 by alexberry1 , on Flickr

Re: What you done t' your bike today
Following BB200
Regreased XTR pedals, regreased headset, took C'dale lefty off and stripped it down ready to send off for a service, serviced brakes, stripped and regreased DT240 rear hub.
Put the pedals on my bouncy bike ready for some winter fun.
Stuck some ergon grips on the Brompton.

Re: BB200 2023
When I booked the BB200 this year, I was unsure how I’d play it. My mind said take it easy, enjoy it, have fun…but my competitive heart said go fast, give it your all, your getting old, you can go slow when your older 😊 I have made significant lifestyle changes in the last 12 months, from an alcohol...

Re: BB200 2023
Speaking of the Whynnstay Arms - when i arrived back on sat night at 930pm, i decided i didnt fancy sleeping in my car, so i popped in and asked for a room. To my delight, one was avaliable, and i was also offered a cuppa soup and a bread roll! After requesting a larger shandy i asked for the bill.....

Re: BB200 2023
I'll never understood why people don't turn that stuff off. Also, all that fucking beeping. SHUT UP. Wouldn't be so bad, but the "off course" notifications most GPSs give start when it thinks you're about a centimetre to the right or left of the actual trail. You do realise you can turn t...

I'm really surprised at the low moving time as I thought it would be over 24hrs.
[/quote]
I think that may be a funcion of the GPS auto pause? I only properly stopped for 15 or 20min but i think the auto pause function estimated i had stoppped over the "slower sections".

Re: 2023 BB200/300 weights thread
I took a mix of 21 energy bars and 4 energy drink sachets. I carried 2 bottles, and filled up twice from rivers using a filter, and once at a shop. (8 bottles in total) At the shop i bought 2 bananna and espresso and ate this on the bike. I finished the ride with 10 energy bars in my bag. ***Note- t...

Re: BB200 2023
How are peoples perception (of difficulty) over previous editions, i was looking back over my times, and either it was easier, or im getting faster with experience / age? My gut tells me that this edition was the hardest out of the ones below, but i have blocked the detail out of my mind! 2023 – 211...

Given water isn't calories, it's definitely not cheating. In fact, if you want to actually be able to burn your fat stores effectively, you definitely need water. I appreciate you have different requirements on that front though. From memory, my longest fastest ride was 11 hours, wearing a 15kg wei...

Re: BB200 2023
Balls, was reminded today that the start time for the 200 is 08:00. I'm going to be cutting it really close on some of the shops I wanted to get to. I think I'm going to have to go out at a much harder pace than I had originally intended. I usually start late (and hungover), but I guess not this ye...

Im a long time Cannondale Fan, i owned the 2002 FSi carbon and lent it to team Nambia in the Commonwealth games as they wrote their bike off by hitting a low bridge! Sadly his pedal fell off and he DNF! My current Team Replica FSi is fantastic, ill be using it for this years BB 200/300 event. Fast a...

Re: Kid friendly bikepacking route???
After a bit of planning i head off with my 6year old daughter in our WeeHoo double trailer (circa 50-60kg with child and kit). The rear seat was removed and replaced with all the luggage. We head off on a 120km loop of the High Peak Trail and Monsall trail from Disley nr Stockport. Lots of icecream ...

Re: Kid friendly bikepacking route???
Cheers Rich, i will probably go with this option TBH as its familier and easy but was wondering if there are other options....Id quite like a wild camp but i think it would be hard along here, so a campsite makes most sense.
