Re: Tachycardia - maybe?
I'd say get to the docs asap or even the hospital. I had a high irregular rythm so went to the docs without an appointment. Hooked straight up to the ECG machine twice, then saw the doc who told me that the hospital was waiting for me and if I didn't have anyone to take me then he'd ring an ambulanc...

I really like my teko socks for riding. They are 4years old now and show no wear at all. I will definitely buy some more.

The BEST place to buy honey from is your local beekeeper. Honey is one of the most faked foodstuffs on the market. Almost all supermarket honey will have a percentage of plant based syrup in it usually corn. It it usually heat treated aswell to stop it setting. It is also blended with stuff from all...

Re: Wildlife
Glad they were re-homed. Many swarms don't survive in the wild apparently. Someone will be very happy with that colony.👍 Swarming in generally down to poor beekeeping. Their natural instinct is to reproduce, to swarm. In may/June the beekeeper can manipulate the hive to make them think they have swa...

That is a cracking swarm. Looks like a prime swarm with a mated queen. Someone's lost £200+ worth of bees there . If I had a spare hive I'd be interested in removing them

Yes that's the route Scud. Had a crack at it last week. What a brilliant route. Lots to see, lots of history, no shortage of supplies and loads of places to bivi. I didn't spot the taps marked on the route but had no problem asking at shops and pubs. Very friendly folk. And more wildlife then I think...

I'm no expert but some of those setups look ridiculous and will be horrible to ride. Spot the axe on bike no.2? WTF

Years ago on the old Marin Rough Ride there was a brass band on top of Hergest Ridge. I thought I was going mad hearing it in the distance

Monks Trod is particularly nice in the pitch black into driving snow. Also done it both ways in the blazing sun and stayed perfectly dry. Happy days.

Re: Internal hub set up
No idea what the gearing equates to in cassette size. I've had the hub since they were 1st introduced and it's been on a couple of bikes and apart from leaking abit has been trouble free. I seem to remember the advice was dont go any bigger than a 20T with a 32T front. 21T has been fine.

Re: Internal hub set up
I've setup a Swift with an alfine 11. 32T on the front and a 20 or a 21t on the back. I'd go 21T for 29+ for that low spinny gear. Theres quite a jump between 1st and 2nd gear

A 3 mile hike?!! Theyve done the HT550 so significantly more than 3 miles of hiking with zero issues. I've got wide feet and they fit me really well. You could try them and return them if not suitable. I've ordered a 43 and a 44 just incase the sizing has changed
