Re: cycle/hiking shoe suggestions
A 3 mile hike?!! Theyve done the HT550 so significantly more than 3 miles of hiking with zero issues. I've got wide feet and they fit me really well. You could try them and return them if not suitable. I've ordered a 43 and a 44 just incase the sizing has changed

Pearl Izumi......I've just ordered another pair of these. Pair I've got now are over 3years old and still goin strong. Most comfortable shoes I've ever had. Like trainers but with cleats and this version has a vibram sole. They are sized small though so go up a size. https://www.sportpursuit.com/cat...

Re: King Alfreds Way.
Some of the down hills are a bit rough and if its damp you may want the extra gription of an mtb tyre. It is doable on a gravel bike but I remember thinking 'I'm glad I'm not on the Camino' Make sure you've got a bit of spare food and dont expect all the pubs on the map to be open or still be a pub ...

Aah should work now. It's only the road sign. I have a foto of another sign + rider but it will put you off your dinner.

Not quite in England but if you want a hilly gravel route with lots of climbing and some great views, remote at times and loads of places to camp check out The Argyll Trail.

Re: Help me with my creak
I've had this a few of times Dave and it drives you nuts. All have resulted in pretty much a full strip down. 1 ended up being a squeaky replaceable mech hanger. Quick smear of grease behind it and job done. Another turned out to be the pin that stops the chain wedging between the ring and crank arm...

Thats what I do. Not that im tight or anything 😄 Its a winter mix aswell and you...

Re: Straightening A Silwing Ridgeline?
I bought 1 years ago in a sale and never used it in anger for that very reason Ray. Loved the shape but really didn't like the dip in the middle so it ended up at the back of the 'might come in handy but probably won't cupboard'.

The bike  2 buckled wheels , scuffed lever and trashed bar tape. I think her body took most of the impact. The branch was almost parallel with the verge just slightly on the piss so the front wheel was whipped from under her and she was down. Shes doing ok, just got a 2nd night in hospital and...
