Re: Roo Review

I have the majority of my bivvy kit on the bars (or at least that's my current configuration), comes to about 1.8Kg inc dry bag and harness. That's for the cool season and consists of: bivy bag; sleeping mat; sleeping bag; quilt. As things warm up either the sleeping bag or quilt will get left behi...

Question: Barmouth (rail) bridge open to bikes?

As the post title suggests: is the bridge open to cyclists? Last time I looked it was to be closed to everyone due to cost cutting?

Re: Which saddle?

Brooks Cambium saddles do not need to be broken in - they are not leather!! The best part about them is - no hard plastic frame to sit on. All other types of saddle have some foam/gel/whatever over a plastic/carbon shell. Dependent of how much you spend will depend on the type and quality of materia...

Re: WTD: Jones loop bar

Strange, I was just thinking of listing my pair... I have a 710mm wide one in black, aluminum , like new (only done 170km or 2 days use on Norwegian gravel roads so not abused....) that I could be tempted to part with. Will come with the ESI long chunky grips on too and taped.... I am back in the UK...

Recommend me a synthetic sleeping bag....

Hello, Rain... we all love it.... except the damp climate which is getting to my down bags on 3 day trips, so was thinking of investing in a synthetic bag. As the title of the thread suggests: recommend me a synthetic bag, comfort rating will be a compromise on pack size I know, but I want a small p...

Re: What sparked the fat bike revolution?

Fat bikes are additive.... so much so that I have now sold (nearly) all my other mountain bikes. Now I tend to worry between fat bike or fortitude adventure for bike packing duties. All depends on how much road will be evolved obviously but I tend to just reach for the fat bike all the time now. Why...
