Re: I seem to have lost my cursor...

Have you tried in a different browser? Have you tried clearing your browser cache? If it’s a css issue and you’re on a windows desktop, there’s a convoluted workaround you can do to inject custom css into the control to give yourself a cursor again but it’s painful since you have to do it on the eve...

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...

It's reminiscent in looks of the early-mid 2000s hydroformed aluminium bikes that were all the rage for a while, not that that's a bad thing. Not cheap though. I don't use my full sus at all any more but looking at the price of new ones makes me reluctant to sell it because I'd never be able to just...

Re: Find That Bike website

Not sure why but the transport police seem to be more proactive. When my bike was nicked they had him on cctv and he was arrested within a week - too late for my bike of course but now I’m still getting the princely sum of 38 pence a month seven years later whenever he’s not in prison.

I'll grudgingly admit that when we strayed inadvertently over the border on holiday last year, we tested a few from Leek Oatcakes and they were almost acceptable  . Bonus points for selling them to us through the back window. I'm told you can buy oatcakes 'ready packaged' from supermarkets bu...

Re: Today's Run

Last nights run, but went on a local Halloween run in costume, with scarers, music and props at strategic points on the course. There must have been over 60 people with the vast majority in costume, it was a giggle. Running in a velour onesie was an experience, I probably lost a kilo.

Re: Today's Run

I took the new watch out for a run today in the rain - 11.3 km of character building wetness. I've signed up for a half marathon in delamere forest in 4 weeks on the back of running 15km a week for the last month, what can go wrong? On the subject of insanity, I couldn't get 'The sun has got his hat...

Aptly, I think that's a monkey puzzle tree. We have one in the park on our estate that's a left over from the Victorian era insane asylum.

A departure from the norm today, I managed to get out with the Cannock Chase Trail Runners - a gentle paced 8.8k with a nice mix of single track and forest roads with the second half run with head torches.

Re: What you done t' your bike today

I finished off some maintenance tasks today. A 1/4 turn on the front derailleur high limit screw fixed the chain rub in high gear which was simpler than expected. In an attempt to fix a constant creak under load I removed the pedals, gave them as good as a clean as I could without using solvents, re...

Re: What you done t' your bike today

I lost my lowest gear on a recent ride - so I thought I’d be brave and try and fix it myself. Having gone through the full rigmarole of getting the bike stand and my tools out and watching a couple of videos, in typical fashion, 2 quarter turns of the barrel adjuster later it was shifting perfectly...
