Re: Bb200 Waffle Thread.

Newby Question - is the dropping of a "Cache" frowned upon? I see there is little resupply from Barmouth onwards and i can happen to cross the route on my travel down on Friday night. I was thinking of stashing a bottle of water and some food which might perk me up at 3am, but didnt want to do somet...

Re: BB200 - who's staying where?

Can we campervan at the start in the youth club car park? I'd prefer if people didn't. It's a residential area and everyone is very good with us, I don't want to give them any reason at all to stop that from being the case. Plenty of other spots nearby - but the Star's probably worth the trip. Unde...

Re: BB200 route on the way.

Ditto, i did a 3 peaks CX practice run on my Ti Road Bike with 50mm deep section Carbon Clinchers down Jacobs Ladder at 10pm in the dark a few weeks ago....didnt even dab! Prospect of doing it in the day would not be good, as the exposure would prob put me off! That descent doesnt took technical at ...

Re: Bb200 Waffle Thread.

I was wondering....if it was possible to do such an event under Audax UK time cut off, which is ~14.3km/h, but i dont think there is a cat in hells chance unless your Nick Craig, its super dry and you have a support crew! Im not in any rush really, but love a good stat!

Re: Help Alex - BB200 routes.

Well done Alex... Or like Mr Bond would say, "keeping the Peaks end up"... You just rode the ride suggested by Stu with all (as much) off roads as possible in 8.6mph with all the gear... Well done matey and making me think that a Peaks200 attempt might be appropriate traning for a BB200 afterall......

Yup, i am very aware of that - i go though food very fast!

Next step is to start plotting all available eating locations! I think a water filter device could come in handy too.

The weigh in will be interesting as ill be carrying lots of supplies i think.

So i have taken Stu's 2017 route and modified it slightly by looking at Strava heatmaps to take into account as much offroad type riding as i could find. I have also diverted to 3 potential bothies along route, should the weather be utterly crap. Id be keen to see what people thought of the diversio...
