I Just Couldn't Help My Custom Built Lust Self...

So this build started off with a frame bag that came too late for the winter event  ....I didn't end up sending it back because of one thing or another. I then found some cheap 29+ rabbit hole rims  , then came across some fat bike hubs. I then seen a Surly Wednesday frame...then this hap...

Re: Strap obsession

I seem to have developed a minor obsession with straps recently. Obviously it’s partly the fault of Norm and his recommendations, but I do need to check if this is normal - does anyone else spend their evenings scouting the internet for the perfect strap? I wouldn’t mind, but these aren’t even sexy...

Kona Rove ST Deffo For Sale!

Hey up I'm giving up the Kona to look at getting a Bombtrack frame that fits me better. I'm 6ft 1 and I think that the large that it is, is just a bit not large enough... I would be looking for £400.00 (about halfway towards the frame) as I already have some spare wheels and would need to get a grou...

49 inch Carbon Bear Bones Poles / Tarp

So I ordered a pole suitable for an SMD lunar solo. The poles came super fast. Then the guy selling me the tent let me down. I now have some poles spare and new so id like to start using them. Has anyone used a 49 inch pole with a tarp? I've got an alpkit bicycle. 3.5 Thanks :) (Why on earth does it...

A ride, hike and ride in search of some VV squares and completing a little project of mine. I've now been up every summit I can see from my house (or from Aviemore in general). We've had a wee bit of snow over the past few days too. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7836/33415118408_7b8974227b_c.jpg D...

Re: Planning A Route & Finding A Gate...

That road is normally very quiet. A lot of land thereabouts is owned by the Graythwaite Estate; pink "private" signs everywhere. If you're worried, you could always stop 1km to the south, then follow the footpath up towards High Dam, or find somewhere off a bridleway in Grizedale Forest; both are d...

Re: Planning A Route & Finding A Gate...

Pretty sure everyone on here will have jibbed over plenty of gates and bivvied in not strictly legit places. Just try to work out how likely it is that someone might go through it in the morning, and if you can be arsed listening to someone being an arse if they do. Brilliant, Thanks for the input....

I create a route, save as private, then download, upload to Komoot and then edit away from there. I'm a paid up member of Strava until April, unsure if I'm going to keep giving them money or not, if I can't download it as a .gpx on free, that would make me re think...

Planning A Route & Finding A Gate...
