Re: Madison Trail Shorts Large

Bought in October. Worn three times due to soggy winter. Definitely a little too tight for me. Would suit a 34" waisted gentleman. No inner padded shorts. In an attractive shade of camo to help avoid detection from angry landowners or the fun police. £23 posted to your door. Photos here: https://pho...

Re: Alpkit Elan

I have wondered about using just the outer of the Zephyros for those one nighters where you know there’s good weather. That would be very light, anyone tried that.
Yes done it with a Zepyhros 2 quite a few times. Works well.

Re: Alpkit Elan

Well I've ordered one. I love my Hunka XL but i don't like having my face stuck out in the open. So i use a cheap silnylon tarp. Which then requires rigging up with sticks, or a pole, or my wheels. Cue the Elan! To be honest it'll be one of a number of systems I use according to the weather and how ...

Re: Who’s appreciating riding their bike?

I'm recovering slowly from 3 weeks of suspected Covid nastiness (only the one brief visit to a&e). The last three days I've felt well enough to sling my leg over the crossbar. Nearly four weeks without a ride an I'm really really enjoying the hour I'm managing most days. I'm still prone to overdoing...

Re: Calling all Pinnacle Ramin 3+ owners

Just checked and a 29mm id rim with a 2.6" Specialized Butcher fits fine.

But, I've measured the tyre and it is actually 2.44" at the widest (62mm).

I reckon a true 2.6 would be a bit tight but worth a go.

Re: Calling all Pinnacle Ramin 3+ owners

It'll only just fit 27.5 x 3.0 on the rear so 29+ won't fit at the back.
