Let me know how the order quantities work out.

Mm, is it worth showing how many of each so far Stu, and the shortfalls? Gives us/you time to adjust if possible/able/wish.

Re: (Reg's) The Quarry & Shaft Thread

Yes I'm really looking forward to that Peter. Shame you're not living in France because I have a vague memory that, unlike here, your mineral rights extend all the way to the centre of the earth, and we could have started digging when I visit. Coal, ironstone, limestone; you've got the lot. Wasn't t...

Re: (Reg's) The Quarry Thread

There's a couple of interesting looking shafts there too (shafts for Shaf ). See, once you start this crazy game it's impossible to stop.

I can give up any time I want. I can. Honest. I'm in complete control of it.

Shaf you missed the other quarry down the valley!! Unbelievable. And here's me thinking you were a fellow afficionado. What an amateur mistake to make!

Re: Lock-down projects

Marvellous! So the holes are big enough to let the squirrels in as well? That's quite generous of you. On the other hand the reds need all the TLC they can get of course. We fitted a giant circular baffle under our feeders and it's quite amusing watching the greys futilely trying to work out a way r...

I have a tiny smidgen of suspicion Shaf, just intuition that's all, and I could be wrong, that this may turn out to be a somewhat, how shall we say, niche thread on a niche forum  . If you're meant to be completely self-sufficient does that mean they want you to carry all the water for entire trip too? Maybe you could use something like a traffic cone strapped to your back as a water collection device? I'm not rising to the bait  . You've no idea how difficult that is th...

Right this one's for Shaf's eyes only after he foolishly showed a minor quarry interest the other day. Biiiig mistake  . Everyone else move along in an orderly fashion please. Went back to the same area again to double-check the potential Spot. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49937217243_...

it takes more than a car and a clean T shirt Do tell. I could do with a few tips. My success with nice ladies in Spars or behind bars (not that sort, oh I don't know though) seems to have dropped off recently. Oh, and car pics please of course. Wow! Must have been great to see. Apparently we’ve had a sea eagle in Oxfordshire, runaway from the isle of white. It’s hanging out with the red kites ( over run with kites here)
I wonder if you might soon be seeing a Sea Kite or a Red Eagle?

Ah, I have a convert  . Heath & Reach Quarry, still operational. Basically Leighton Buzzard is a giant sandpit. I've earmarked this exact spot for a local bivvy, It's on a wide bridleway. Re: Squealing rear discs/pads

Worst squealing I've ever had was with Shimano when the pistons / seals develop micro leaks. A change of pads and a good clean will cure it for a short while but it soon returns. Best squealing I've had was in 2018 when the Chilterns Winter Bivvy crew departed the pub. All our brakes were cold and ...
