Re: For the runners amongst us.
Nice long days and a reasonable chance of being dry but not too dry and not too hot. I just double checked the route out of interest, and I’ve run* every one of the hills. Not all at once mind you  I can’t quite place the line from Llanberis to Elidr Fawr, does it follow one of the quarry incl...

Re: For the runners amongst us.
That's great, thanks for sharing... Looks a route I'd quite like to try in the run up to next year's (hopefully) Bob Graham... Shout if you want any mules, I think I offered before, can't remember. Paddy planned for myself. Nice, when are you planning on going? I remember running in the Angus Glens...

Cheers Stu will take a watch and have shared too.
Pretty much my ideal duration/distance for a long run that. Makes for a brilliant day out but doesn’t destroy you for weeks/months.

Re: Anyone paddled the Wye?
I'm playing with ideas for next year and wondered about rafting down the Wye and riding back. Anyone paddled it, is it nice? Not done it, but planning too, originally next year but I’ve Adhesive Capsulitis (left shoulder) so have shelved the idea for a while. Lovely river going by friends who have ...

Re: Mud tires
I’ve gone with narrow on the gravel bike On the MTB I’ve given up and ended up with summer XC tyres. Because frankly, nothing works anyway locally, mud tyres just slick up and stay that way, but the Ardent Race I’ve got on the back clears pretty instantly and works better on the farm tracks/road lin...

Re: Pack rafts - Please may I ask?
I think if they made a more affordable Nomad I’d bite.
I’ve had a shot in one of their current “packrafts” in person and I have to say. I don’t think it’s really a Packraft. It’s simply too big and is, for me, an inflatable kayak. Although it was sat next to a Caribou.

Friend of mine was lucky enough to head south with the British Antarctic Survey including an over winter. iirc he was there to keep the base running but as an off shoot spent a lot of time studying the Penguins roundabout. Apparently the “fascination” wore off in a matter of days regarding our waddl...

In perhaps the most middle class post you can find, a pair of Hunter Wellington Boots  Found a pair slightly better than half price and then had some cash back sitting in the account for 6 months, so in the reckoning, I got them for £15... Great for taking mini-voodoo and dog-voodoo ou...

Yeh, ironically a set of WTB Nanos on WTB i21 rims. I could get them on and sealed but never properly seated (wobbles big enough to mess with ride feel). If anyone feels like offering advice on this I’d just like to say “**** off” in advance  The bitterness is long lasting with that one. I’d n...

Re: Bothies and covid
They’re “officially” closed but “might” be unlocked for emergencies. I’d just steer clear until things ease up with Covid and no matter what the doom fappers say it will ease up. I personally tend not to use them, a couple of nights with the “bothies are for carrying crates of beer to” brigade have ...

A rower. Feck me it really is awful, lung pulling, ghastly exercise. Therefore, probably really good for me, by some weird rule of thumb :???: Cannot be arsed to ride frequently in all weathers at the moment and loads of my usual stuff is either cancelled, inaccessible or lacking in the lung-rippin...
