Re: Dubs Hut Day VIsit

Thats the puppy Al, doesn't show it that well on the map, but above it is a boulder field that you have to climb down to get to the bothy..

It's a longer, but probably easier route, to head up from the Buttermere side & fork-off onto the footpath after Warnscale Bottom..

Re: Dubs Hut Day VIsit

It's prob about 15-20mins from Dubs Al, not the easiest to get a loaded bike to from there though..

The view down the valley from the window inside is worth a visit on its own!

If you're riding it over 2 days that should leave time for a lap round both Lee & Crag Quarries! :geek: Chew's your man for that manor, but i'd say somewhere round the Hebden area would make a good overnight choice. Could struggle for places to eat in the eve that don't serve alcohol though Shaf.. M...

Great pics Al! :-bd

If you're ever heading back to find Warnscale, it's worth adding a POI flag on your Garmin. It's not the easiest place to find if you've not been before, especially in the dark!

Good luck Rich :-bd

Rode the bottom loop with Postie last month, some snow on the tops & wet+cold feet was the main issue. It also went dark really quickly!

Re: Something for the coffee snobs.

I get why the pressure thing is important for making a good coffee, as that's how the BeerBro endorsed BNest works.. Would like to try one of these out to see if it lives up to the hype, bit salty on the pocket for a punt though! Had an Aeropress coffee from your good self Mike, was excellent! But t...

I broke my little finger right through a couple of years ago, healed quite quickly- maybe 4-6 weeks, but took a looooong time to be back to the way it was before. Well over a year, maybe two..

What were those bamboo socks you gave me Jase? They're very good too. They're Steel Blue from Oz Stu, great to ride in until they get wet! As you discovered, they're not the quickest to dry.. Used some the first day of the HTR lower loop the other week. They were on the stove in Ben Alder A...

Those Alpkit lights would be good if the rubber mounting bands lasted longer. I think the edges where the bands go through the light actually end up cutting through..

But no linky?? Can only presume i've missed something!

There’s a thread on STW, think Colin mentioned on there that there’s some ...
