Re: packable fleece?
Thanks Ben, will look up the Polartec fabric and the 100wt. How many ... just one! : ) I'm not too worried about pack size as I generally have fairly small packed bags and can afford a bit more space, was interested to hear if there's a brand/material that does better than an average fleece on the ...

Bikepacker - leaving your mug on the outside of luggage to collect sheep sub standard Tourer - leaves mug inside luggage  Think it boils down to mentality for bikepacking rather than being defined by types of luggage/length of trip/bicycle etc etc Weird example and on a tangent but I trained f...

Re: Kids bikes!
Might be worth sorucing a trek marlin frame in xs (this fits 650b as the other sizes are 29er).
Decent frames, should be plenty of them knocking about as they’re popular. Can also take a normal rear rack so that may be helpful to carry stuff in a longer ride

Re: Similar but cheaper (rear rack content)
Thanks for those suggestions. Maybe the idea of three mounts on the rear isn’t as good as I’m thinking it to be Is it not more metal bits to break Simon? I'm not getting stuff like that - looks a right faff to unstrap those bags - I'd just use a set of Ortleib front panniers on a normal rack That’s...

Just partaken of a pleasant luncheon. Chatted with my pal at the Council about how he's going to spend the £1m we managed to wangle for new cycleways and footpaths around the town, so that was nice. Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Interesting bar from Cannondale Interesting because the crossbar stiffens it makes it less comfy while also being too thin for mounting things to? : ) I suppose it'd be useful for stabilising a bar bag strap. And £15 is a good price. Interesting because I wasn’t sure what style to call it
