FS: Big Agnes Fly Creek High Volume UL 1

Never owned a tent with such a long name but, well, there you go. This thing cost me £300 last year and it's been used, I think, 6 times. Never in anger of course, because Im never really angry, and less so when camping. It's in perfect condition, anyway. Selling because at 6'2" and 100kg it's just ...

Re: What Suspension Bikes Are You Bikepacking On

I have done a couple of nights on my Whyte S150. It's not a bike for long rides. Both my nights out were so I could do a day of runs at Aston Hill. All my kit was in a big rucksack which I left in a mate's car. Still, managed to ride there and back home with it all. Slept up near the Cafe in the Woo...

Re: Shoes for the wider foot

I’d steer clear of five tens if you have wide feet, I respect Steve's opinion because he knows his stuff, but I have feet like a duck and a size 47 5-10 is fine for me, as it is for pretty much all the shoes I've bought for the past 30 years. But ... I've been padding around my house for 4 months i...

The estate has now decided not to use wire and replaced it with a highly visible gate. Piss. Boiling. We've had trail saboteurs round here for ever but at least they put the barbed wire at head height so it properly garrotes you and kills you clean dead. Looks to me like the estate managers round y...

I have a 4-5 year old Topeak Fuel Tank. Can’t say I really like it as it’s always either a bit big or a bit small, but it must be doing something right to still be around after that long.

I bought a custom bag from these guys back in 2013. It was my first bit of bikepacking gear and I still have, albeit Ive unpicked the stitching twice to rebuild it for different bikes. Dunno what they do now, but they were great Back In The Day

I've had a couple of Ducatis. They were very charismatic, but definitely shoddy I've had a couple of Ducatis as well and my experience was very much like that. You'd be riding along, enjoying the engine noise, the way it'd punch forward and lighten the front wheel at lowish revs and the very tight ...

He's just dropped off yet another Alpkit Woodsmoke shirt. I've been living in these since lockdown started. They're not cheap at £60 but incredibly comfortable, very hard wearing, fine to wear in anything up to 25deg, don't get too smelly, have strong popper buttons, nice sized pockets, dry in an ho...

Late in again. Steve how did you make the "upside down funnel" bit - the bit that sits inside the casing with the wee gap at the bottom. And how did you seal it? When I was making stoves - and I made dozens of them - I used aluminium beer bottles, hacksaws and a car jack. I suspect you took a more e...
