I haven't a great deal of experience with different tyres but I love the Smorgasbord (26") - fairly grippy, not too draggy, kinda bouncy feeling, cheap

Does the £25 include Big shakeout entry? It does ... £25 gets you: In to Shakeout on Fri night, then it's off into the hills aiming to be back by 5pm Sat. There'll be a special BB bivvy friendly camping spot for Sat night, where you can pitch up on your return. Once back, enjoy the Shakeout on Sat ...

Re: Solstice ride - anyone know how to contact Ray?
I've not been able to contact Ray by email/text/PM and so I am pulling out (unless someone contacts me this evening to say it is on). I've not got a GPS and so don't want to turn up potentially on my own and not know how to get around and then home

Solstice ride - anyone know how to contact Ray?
I've PM and emailed him but nothing. I'll have to pull out of tomorrow's ride if I can't as I don't have a GPS so I am not potentially just gonna tip up on my own not knowing the route. And the weather is now looking worse

Ray, what's the advantage of mod other than the profile is slightly better? That's never been that much of an issue for me, not really any leg rub with an unmodded bag. The mod loses space

Thanks Paul ^ that might be borderline OK although, true, getting them isn't easy. Marys are 640 which isn't borderline.
But also, the postman's been - Funn Full-On bars (750 wide), which are a complete steal at £20 from CRC
