Marin Pine Mountains around that price on Chain Reaction. Rigid so won't have worse than useless bendy forks. Very dark green so almost black. #steelisreal

I've got both the All-Weather and wet lube here to try out. Heading to Wales tomorrow so should have a good idea if they can handle horrible conditions!

Re: Flats or Drops on a Fargo ?

Have you tried moving the brake levers? It wasn't until I replaced my bar tape that I experimented with their position and found they were in the "wrong" place out of the box.

I also fitted cinelli gel pads and smootape XL which helps with comfort.

My front Allen bolt-thru says 15nm max iirc and that's alloy into carbon. Felt tighter than it needed to be when I used the torque wrench to get a feel for it.

Yep. I love my Criky, how much riding gear but this is plain daft. No way I'm wearing anything but threadbare jeans and T-shirt I got given at a trade show if working on the bikes!

That's pretty damn good. Especially compared to the Lezyne Mega XLC (or whatever it was) that died after 18 hrs (with a claimed 46hrs life) and was utterly useless while it was working.

I'm also in the lucky camp - I've had one since March 2015 and it's pretty much bombproof, if anything the output seems to have improved slightly with age.
That was always the thing with Ford engines. Got faster and faster as time went on until they blew up.

I have my warranty replacement SP hanging up in the garage. It has 1500km on it. I fear it will have suffered the fate your rested hub did!

Impending SP Dynamo death (again)

Noticed a clunking that wasn't my lock rattling on the rack and it appears my SP Hub has developed what I call the Montana Shakes.

I wonder if I have set some kind of record by having one SP Dynamo last 23,000km and another start making funny noises on day 1 of the TD?

My only thought about the saddle pack mounting with that wee hoop is that if (when) it breaks your stuffed - better to have straps as well so the loop is just a support rather than the mount. Otherwise its a variation on a similar theme to everybody elses. :???: The hoop looks to be a similar diame...

Which model are they nige??
Whichever come as as standard on my Fargo. I have the flat bar versions on my moonlander. I believe they do 9, 10, 11 speed as well as the Eagle ones mentioned above.

Non-boost, 3" clearance and straight steerer will be a rare combo. Might be worth investigating a boost conversion kit and a new bottom half of your headset.

Delighted the goats are still there! About twenty years ago I'd stopped for bite and the goats sauntered over. Their smell gave fair warning and as the Head Billy looked at my sarnies I blew a raspberry at him and he blew one back! I felt he'd earned his lunch!
