Re: Welsh Ride Thing 2012

think i'll go for the crossmarks front and rear (2.25/2.1) then have a 2.25 ardent but never been convinced its any better than the 2.25 crossmark (which is much grippier than the 2.1 crossmark) So are we allowed to wear all our layers of riding clothes for the weigh in so they aren't packed, then s...

Re: Welsh Ride Thing 2012

What tyres are people running for this? Not knowing the area at all I am not sure, though most of my route should be on forest type tracks by the looks of it. Usually run 2.4 ardent front and 2.25 crossmark rear on the Inbred but thinking this might be hard work on the road links and . Have various ...

Re: Most bikes ever owned at one time?

I briefly got up to 3 -

853 Inbred (rigid)
Kona Dawg (play bike)
Tifosi CK3 (road bike)

I've since decided life is too short for road biking so the Tifosi has been broken up and I am back to 2

Thanks for the input, need to get everything together and try packing. A bumbag is something I hadn't considered but might be great for Day food, first aid kit, phone, thin extra layer, etc

Packing, what? where?

I am trying to get down to just a bar mounted dry bag (13l) and a large seatpack and no rucksack for the WRT. Bottles, pump, tools, spares are frame or fork mounted. Can decide what is best packed on the bars other than the sleeping bag? All the other sleeping gear? Bivvy bag, mat, tarp? Though this...
