Re: Oldest bit of kit you own - and still use.

Original Leatherman PST multitool that lives on my belt and is used almost everyday. Leatherman recently replaced the smallest screwdriver after it broke. 28years old. Same for me. A Leatherman multi tool bought on a backpacking trip to Wyoming and Utah in 1989 when I was 22 ish. Still going well. ...

Sorry to hear of the injury Bob... bad luck and hope you’re comfortable now. If you’re getting the train to the airport use the Flytoget from the central station. One every 20 minutes most of the day. Conductors are pretty helpful and on arrival there’s a lift from the platform straight up to depart...

Yep... white on the tops here Mike in N Wales today. In the forest near to the causeway out to Llanddwyn… on the 'island' itself but you may get wardens/visitors. I always liked the back of the spit that is the NW side of the Menai straight entrance. Really nice little cafe in for a stop/brekkie in ...

Re: Cane Creek Thudbuster ST or Titanium Seatpost?

I’ve an eesilk mini thudbuster on the Fargo, 295g and 20mm if travel which makes a surprising difference to comfort. Looks interesting Steve... how long have you had that running? Still no issues mechanically? Did you set you seat height mid travel or does it not compress much on smoother surfaces?...

Re: Bike rack for a VW T5

VW 4 bike version on mine. Left on permanently and no issues. Helps being 6’3” to get the inner bikes on and needs a bit organising for 4 bikes but I guess no difference to any 4 bike rear rack. Mate who is shorter can’t get his bike on without a small step/box. I turn the handlebars on the inner bi...

This seems not dissimilar to bikehike… http://www.hillmap.com/ Topo and Google Sat imagery next to each other and you can add a track - not as easy to use as bikehike but not bad.... will likely open in the US (California) but can be scrolled to UK and seems to be OK. Options to add layers and paths...
