I'd already waded through water before we started the trudge up and the torrential rain, sinking into deep mud and nearly falling down a 12 fo...

I did see that Go Outdoors had an offer on a HH merino top but it's not available for mail order :?
I could see if our local store has one and bring it with me on Saturday.

I don't know if it breathes better than others, but I've got a Terra Nova Moonlight. Never had any problems with it; packs really small and is very light.

Bought mine from Field and Trek . . . they state it weights 206g, but my scales show it as 180g.

Re: July's Photo Comp

I didn't take this photo as it's me in the picture. This is one of Stuart's taken on our trip to Plynlimon last July. Of all the trips we've been on this is my favourite photo. The views were amazing as too was the peace and quiet despite Stuart and I rambling on till it was dark! http://sally1354.f...

I would have told her that seeing as she so obviously liked them (having not returned them) she could have them as an early Christmas present :)

I'd like one please . . . would have to be a women's XS.

I'm probably going to regret it, but I'm going to let my children decide the name on the back of mine

Envious because I had to cancel :( and glad you had a good time and didn't frighten Susan away . . . might mean I have female company on some of our trips in the future.

Not that I don't like being out with you men - obviously

Re: Experience of rigid 69er conversions anyone?

The only con for me is when I go over something really rocky because of the lack of suspension. It can get a tad uncomfortable. Having no suspension any other time has not been an issue because the larger wheel makes up for it.

I like the bike; it's fun to ride.

Flat pedals for me . . . DMR Vault's on my 69er and single speed with Five Ten Karver's. Very grippy and probably safer for me with the amount of times I fall off!

As Stuart says, I do use the Race Kings Folding 2.2 and despite being told by a couple of people they would be rubbish in the wet, in the mud and on wet rocky stuff, they have proved to be anything but as last weekends trip with Stuart proved. My favourite tyre at the moment; not that I'm an expert,...

I carry a Wenger EvoGrip 81 Pocket Knife . . . it has a pair of tweezers in it, which I forgot about and would have been very helpful after putting my hand in a gorse bush over the weekend.

SDG Allure Women's on my 69er; Brooks on my commuting and a Selle San Marco Rolls on my single speed.

All good; my favourite is the Brooks.
