Re: WTD: Middleburn UNO chainring (non- X-type)

Thanks, that might do the job. I think the chainrings are the same for both ISIS and Square taper? The x-type have a large offset. Should be able to tell from a picture of it?

WTD: Middleburn UNO chainring (non- X-type)

Looking for a Middleburn UNO chainring to suit a square tapered crank (so non- X-type). 32 or 34t, used is fine (and possibly the only option) but it would be nice if it has a little bit of life in it. Thanks.

Re: FS: Wildcat Gear Lions and Tigers - Rare Coloured - NOS

Bit slow replying here, sorry
I bunged everything on eBay in the end, so you can see what’s there if you search for wildcat gear.
Some colours are out of stock now though, but prices are reduced, too, so worth a look if you’re interested.

Coal tit? No, tis a Pied Flycatcher. We have Spotted Flycatchers but I'd not seen one of these before. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS5bD58SCaT_Yh2hk8XFE3D9uX5UsIxWxdroA&s Haven’t seen a pied flycatcher in years, decades, even. There’s a good population at Ynys Hir RSPB ...

Got up early this morning to watch a black grouse lek on one of our sites in the borders. Only ever seen them fleetingly before, so nice to watch them for a couple of hours while the sun came up.

Re: WTD: On One rigid forks, circa 2011 vintage

Still looking for a pair of these forks if anyone has any / sees anything around on the internet? Bloke in Darlington was pickup only. Bloke in Milton Keynes will only sell them with the whole bike. Got all the parts together to rebuild the Singular Pegasus*, except for the fork… * maybe the last on...

FS: Wildcat Gear Lions and Tigers - Rare Coloured - NOS

Having a bit of a tidy up at home and found a box of coloured Lions and Tigers that were hand-made by Beth when we were down in Brecon. These would have been made in a batch for custom frame bag customers to serve as matching sets, but were never matched for this purpose and never made it to website...

Re: WTD: On One rigid forks, circa 2011 vintage

Thanks for that - I’ve messaged them to see. (Not been on STW for years, but my word, how many adverts…?!) I may just need to keep an eye out on eBay - there’s not been anything since late-Feb, but ones that did sell seem to vary wildly in price from ridiculously cheap to nearly the same as CarbonCy...

WTD: On One rigid forks, circa 2011 vintage

Do you remember those On One forks with carbon legs and silver alloy crown and drop outs? Look like these: https://ianbarrington.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/bb200_start.jpg 490mm axle to crown, for 29” wheel, if I remember correctly. Anyone got any stashed away they’d like to sell? It's Ian's company who manage the forest Peter. Ah ! So, my personal view is that I am as much opposed to this as everyone else. The professional situation is much more complicated, but the extension to the Carno Windfarm is / will cause many unintended consequences in the pursuit of clean energy. ...

Re: Stolen Goat buy Wildcat

The hardest thing is perhaps trying to transition from cottage / shed / barn manufacturer to something grander. This. What might appear straightforward from the outside is very different on the inside. But looking back, I’m pretty pleased the products we designed have stood the test of time. We had...

The forecast isn't looking brilliant, but I'm going to ride in via the Cateran Trail from Blairgowrie, up as far as Pitcarmick and in from the north via Loch Oisinneach. Will be on the fat bike as well. Looking for the easy exit on Sunday, down to Dunkeld and home via Murthly Castle. How many is the...

And to think, some people got quite upset when I wrote this piece ... "Some people" - on Facebook, I'm guessing? Perhaps it was this bit that drew their ire: Why? Why did you post that picture on social media and announce to the world where you were? Surely doing so didn’t enhance the exp...

Didn't she last log in to have a pop at people who were voicing their opinions on her and Rickie Cotter's Tour Divide performance in 2017. I’ve not seen the films Divided and “that other one”, because I was out of loop a bit back then, so unaware of the context to this. Out of curiosity, I had a bi...

Well done Keith, but sounds like you could do with looking after yourself first! Most people don't understand what it takes to get power to them and certainly not the work required now. My sentiments exactly. Long days on a chainsaw, day after day, presents a significant risk for the operator, espe...
