Re: New Front Harness / Longer Bag?

I think the lomo one is longer? https://www.lomo.co.uk/products/12l-double-ended-dry-bag/ Pretty hefty though, I've got one in the drawer but never actually needed to use it yet! If you're near Sheffield you're welcome to give it a go I have this bag. It's unashamedly utilitarian, utterly indestruc...

Re: Aeroe rear rack thoughts

I could be wrong though? Are on about tailfin or aeroe? I have the aeroe pannier rack, the only difference to the spider is the top plate which works with panniers The failure I am refering to is of carbon frames with aeroe racks fitted I was talking about the Tailfin aero racks  The Aeroe Spi...

Re: Aeroe rear rack thoughts

I have the pannier rack version It's great for switching between frames but is heavy, it slipped once loaded asymmetrically but that could be down to not rechecking the tightness of the bolts Some failures allegedly on carbon frames, I'm fine with it on my steel and alloy frames To be fair those fa...

Re: packable fleece?

I think Altura make a- sort of- packable water-resistant fleece? :???: Its called AllRoads, or something like that? Also worth looking at merino. Rivelo also make some nice tops-I got a couple via SportsPursuit and they are great and were fairly cheap.

Re: Monks trod - wtf

There's few byways in my local area that are now subject to Traffic Management Orders because the local 4X4 clubs and dirt bike riders couldn't play nice, despite repeated chances to reign ion their behaviour. It also didn't help that some were basically used as mass fly tipping sites, or dum...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024

Ticked February last week. I have a reasonably regular Tuesday meet up with an old friend where we do loops on the Ashton Court trails, Leigh Woods, Flax Bourton lanes and hopefully end up at the Miners Rest for beer and Twiglets. He has a FS e-MTB, so I have added a Tongsheng unit to an ex gumtree...

First decent ride of the year. Decided to ride from Newbury to meet the family at Mottisfont. A nice 35 mile ride of mainly valley riding. Lots of beautiful chalk streams (mainly the Test) and snow drops. https://i.ibb.co/zX5Xtv8/PXL-20240217-101858544-MP.jpg Lovely pic and bike :-bd What mudguards...

Yet more rationalisation about why you don't personally have to change . We all have to change and I would no more base my behaviour on them( egotistical avaricious soulless types) than I would base it on Trump. I don't know why you think bezos or musk lecture on this ( I don't really follow either...

Re: Who'd have thunk it, an interesting article on Road.cc?

I'll start caring about the environment as soon as big corporations, useless self -serving politicians and pontificating billionaires like Musk, Bezos and Gates actually pull their heads out of their arses and stop hypocritically lecturing normal people about how they're killing the planet! ...
