Re: Riding on Monday?

Went out and did a circular route of Kinder, just over 80km. Set off around 9 ish, past lots of runners, cyclists but mostly dogs walking their owners. Got to Edale at Lunch, lots of walkers and the carparks overflowing. Sensible people not sprawled in front of the telly but enjoying the countryside...

Would that be on the Thursday or the Friday, the next day for a gathering?

Or are we thinking about doing this alone?

Hi ScotsRoutes, Are you Colin? If so we have had a few interactions on the facebook page recently regarding the latest route. Now I have had a few days to reflect and recover I'm mellowing about the route and perhaps it's the inner loop which was the most difficult and set my perception. Really the ...

Re: Cairngorms loop 2020

Phil, Wonderful to meet you while out on the outer loop on Saturday. You were right about Glen Tilt, I agree with the comments you made, it felt sadistic to put it there at the end of the ride rather than it being a sting in the tail. And then after the physical and mental exertion of hike a bike up...

Re: Cairngorms Loop(s) advice.

Evening,
I'm hoping to do the Loop Jubilee weekend, weather permitting. Any new changes or recent challenges to the route, I should be aware of?
Also I'll be arriving in the evening after a long drive, can anyone recommend a good chippy in Blair Atholl?

Thanks in advance.

Good write up and inspiring pics.
I'm thinking about coming up to do the Cairngorm loops on jubilee weekend. I wont arrive at Blair Atholl until the late evening, two questions:

What time does the chippy close?
Can you recommend a good bivvy spot shortly after leaving the A9?

Cheers

NB. I didn't know that the ITT takes you to thw very top of Jacobs ladder where it's proper DH territory (and only the crazy people walk up to then ride back down :o ). It doesn't. I added Jacobs ladder to get my Adrenaline going before I then jumped on to the inner loop in Edale. Looking forward t...

Any takers for Jubilee weekend? Have you asked 'Queeny' how she'd feel about that. Hates mountain bikes (not sure about bikers) according to Oli (some sort of world champ) when he went to the palace. Apparently they scared her horse this one time
