Re: Route advice please Devon

I did this one a while back: https://bikepacking.com/routes/east-devon-trail/. Pretty hilly, but a lovely route overall. Well worth a look. Dartmoor can be pretty boggy at that time of year (source: live within spitting distance of the southern tip of the moor) but could also be great, would depend ...

Re: Saving for Klampers Clearout (Jones, Revelate, WizardWorks, and Swift Industries)

Adding: 6. Brooks B17 Pre Aged and SimWorks by Nitto Beatnik 27.2 Seatpost - Brooks is in brown and hasn't been used very much, perhaps 100 miles max - adjustment screwn hasn't been touched, and the SimWorks was bought new and has done the same as the Brooks. The post is black and has a few very sma...

Saving for Klampers Clearout (Jones, Revelate, WizardWorks, and Swift Industries)

As the title suggests, I'm clearing out some bags and bars I've not used as much as I thought in order to fund a pair of Klampers. Open to offers and combining postage as needed Pictures can be emailed over. 1. Jones Loop Bars - Original 660mm width, in black, a few scrapes on top but would all be c...

Re: WTD: High n Wide bars?

@FLV I have a pair of full width Stooge Motos if you want them? Came on my MK4 and used for a few trips but changed them for some lower rise bars. A few rub marks but nothing major at all. £30 plus a bit for postage if you want them.

Sold: Revelate Designs Sweetroll (Large) with Egress Pocket

I’m selling my woefully underused Sweetroll and Egress pocket, as they just don’t work for my current handlebar setup, and I don’t do much bikepacking any more anyway. Both in great used condition with no tears or frays, slightly older model (this one: https://bikepacking.com/gear/revelate-handlebar...

I've got one, but it didn't play ball on my Enve bars so haven't really used it. PM me if you'd like it - happy to pass it on!

Re: FS Surly Krampus Frame L

I'd be interested in hearing more about the FatLab wheels/tyres for my Stooge Mk4 if they became available - assuming they were non-boost.

Am also in SW Devon so no postage hassle!

Re: Wtd stooge Moto bars or equivalent

Hi Stu, I've got a pair of Moto bars in the garage which were on my MK4 for a while before I changed them for something a bit narrower after punching one too many trees on my local night rides! They're full width, a few clamping marks and scuffs but nothing untoward. Something like £45 posted to wit...

Revelate Magtank 2000: £45

I’m finding my Revelate Magtank 2000 too wide with my pedalling style, and I keep rubbing my legs on it while out of the saddle. It’s lightly used but good condition all around. Happy to sell or (more ideally) swap for a Revelate Mountain Feed Bag instead. Looking for about £45 including postage if ...

Wanted: Paul Klampers and Love Levers

I'm keeping an eye out for a set of Klampers and Love Levers for my Stooge, in case anyone has a pair they'd part with?

I'll have my Hope Tech Evo X2 with gold levers up for part ex incase they were of interest.

Dropping the price to £1225 to forumites. Happy to consider trades for dirty steel things (Jones, Surly, Salsa, etc) but really should sell!

FS: Orange Alpine Five (29er) with full Hope Finishing Kit

I'm reluctantly selling my Orange Alpine Five as it's just not getting ridden, and I'll be using my hardtail throughout winter so no need to keep it sat around in the garage. I'm looking for £1300. It's a hugely capable bit of kit, and can be immense fun, but 9 times out of 10 I'll grab my Stooge an...

Re: WTD: Frame/frameset for SS MTB (Inbred, 456, Unit etc)

Might be worth adding a Stooge to the list?
I have my Mk4 set up single speed and use it for occasional overnighters, but it's really more of an agro trail bike. You might find a nice Scrambler, Mk-series or Dirtbomb around 2nd hand (especially on the Stooge Owners FB page) depending on your budget.

Re: Insulated Bivi Bag - Recommendations

Thanks all, hadn't come across waterproof bags before - are they all that, or are they a compromise that need to be used with a tarp really anyway, or are they truly the best of both worlds?

Insulated Bivi Bag - Recommendations

I had (and stupidly sold) a fantastic Berghaus 'Big Wall' bivi bag, which was insulated with Primaloft down the bottom 2/3rds. It meant that I didn't have to carry a full sleeping bag and could get away with just a down jacket and a liner bag inside it. I have tried to buy it back but to no avail! A...

Re: East Devon Trail - Anyone Done It?

Ended up smashing around in a oner, although I cut off the most easterly chunk between Axmouth and Lyme Regis, opting instead to head straight up from Axmouth to Axminster and pick the trail up there after I threw a hissy fit about misreading my Garmin in the rain and went down (and promptly back up...

Re: East Devon Trail - Anyone Done It?

Thanks for the insight, much appreciated! I’m headed up on the train tomorrow AM. Really good to hear some more about the route - currently flip flopping between clips and flats, but I’m all packed and ready to roll. I’d consider myself a fairly strong SS rider but I’ll report back afterwards… RE wa...
