Re: Coed y brenin and Nant yr Arian to close?
A brief message from my contact ... NRW have done some ‘restructuring’ effectively putting the trails under recreation and the centre under commercial so it could be that they’re going to get a private investor in to run the cafe and centre - that way NRW have no outlay for wages etc I wondered if ...

Re: Anyone use a foam mat instead of a air one
If I'm walking I recently tried out a Z-lite which was surprisingly comfy, the same weekend though, I woke up in the middle of the track whilst having a break so I think I could've slept anywhere I was so tired.
On the bike is use a Klymit air mat in the summer and an Exped down mat in the winter

Poly cotton proofing?
Got a poly cotton smock, not for riding in, more for walking the dogs in.
Doesn’t have any DWR on it so in a shower yesterday it got quite damp.
Has anyone used the Nikwax cotton proof with any success for this type of garment?

I've got a mix for my job as a "boucher en bois". My main brand is Makita with sprinkling of Hikoki(Hitachi) and Dewalt. All have some outstanding tools and all have some garbage. The Makita nail guns are utter tosh, I hate the loudness of the paslode as well as the gas needed but like th...

Re: Scottish Winter Bivvy 9th/10th December
There's a slim chance I might make it from Bristol.
My dad's taken a fall and broke a few ribs, he's in Carlisle so might go for a visit then slope off on the Saturday.
