Re: Taking a bike to EU post-Br***t - any import red tape?

I went to France last month and had two bikes with me, wasn't a problem at all. The gendarmes asked to see in the back of the van for anybody hiding in there but couldn't give two hoots about the bikes. Portsmouth were also not interested, didn't even look at our covid pass's, just passports. Wouldn...

Re: Toast

Looking at Steve's review list, I can say that the ridge monkey is great, not just for toast but cooking all sorts on a gas ring. Not the lightest but the versatility is where it wins. There's lots of "recipes" on the Tube to see what you can do with them. Bought the smaller version just b...

Re: Van recommendations

I've had numerous vans over the years and currently own a T5 camper and a Renault trafic for work purposes. I'd buy another Trafic any day of the week. Both trafics that I've owned have been brilliant(until I sold the first and it lunched itself the following day, buyer was a bit of a knob  ) ...

I've seen comments about the ramp must be there in the race if it is during practice according to UCI rules, is it run by the UCI or is it run by the Olympic gravy train and has its own rules?

I used to go about once a month for about 3 years.
Really enjoyed it at Newport but I haven’t been for a couple of years now. Still got my track bike and will go again at some point.

Re: HT550 2021

If I've read it right the jamming is coming from Aberporth and should be quite weak by the time it reaches HTR land so shouldn't be a biggy. It's only going to be intermittent too. That's not to say that the ships taking part in the exercise don't have the ability to jam signals to hide themselves a...

Don’t know if anybody’s put two and two together but there’s NATO war games around the Irish Sea so there’s going to be times where they’ll jam gps signals. Don’t rely on GPS on these dates and times if you are in the area. Dates, Times and Location 2.1 Date: 11-13 May, 18-20 May, 25-27 May (Specifi...

Re: Mtb route around Weston Super Mare or/and Cardiff

Won't be much dry around here after this week.
WSM and surrounding area is pretty much at sea level except Weston woods but that's quite small, you'd be better heading further inland to the mendip ridge, it starts only a handful of miles inland but there's much more to play with there.

I was hoping for good weather seeing as one Dave B, the sub standard weather magnet, was no longer taking part but hopes were dashed when I realised Karl's name is still on the list
Is Dave not taking part as he can't see through his following locks?
